Some of you have been asking me a lot of question and want to learn who I am. Well,
I've finally decided to share with you who I am...
First, my name is Jean-Francois Trahan and I'm from
Ville-Marie, Quebec (Yea, where it is night for 6
months and day for 6 months, and also we don't have car, phone and all that good technology).
Ok I know that most of you don't believe what I said, but believe it or not there ARE some
people that believe this stuff. I forgot something, no we don't live underground and yes we
do celebrate Christmas. :-) Well now that most of you know my Country more, let's talk about
something else. (In case you noticed, I didn't mention Canada because Canada has never been
my country and never will be.)
Now I'd like to talk about my family. I'm the oldest of 3 boys (the one that had the right to
beat my brothers), my dad is an accountant, and my mom is a secretary. I graduated from
Marcel-Raymond High School in May of 1997 and from Norton
Community High School in 1998. I was an exchange student in Norton, Kansas from August
of 1997 to June of 1998. During that year I stayed with and was a part of a weird and wonderful
family :).
During my year in Marcel-Raymond HS I was a member of the
science club and participated in 4
local science expositions and 3 regional. I won a prize in 1994 with the help of Martin Laplante.
I received a distinctive honor for my work in the science club in 1997. During my five years
I was also a member of the quiz bow team for two years and we place 3rd on the Regional for both
years. During our last year we also twice beat an unbeaten team, thanks to our wonderful team
and coach. I was also a member of the school new paper team.
One of the most important aspects of me was being a Boy Scout. I was a Boy Scout for 10 years,
and was named "troop leader" more than once. I was also named "Secretary of Treasure" for the
Owl Pioneers Troop for 3 years, and during those 3 years I also represented the troop several
times at the Boy Scout District Meeting.
Now, I'm attending College at Missouri Western in
St. Joseph, MO. This is a really nice place with
a lot of beautiful girls, but unfortunately for you guys the most beautiful girl is not a
vailable. Her name is Iris Heller and I don't care what you think or say she is really nice
and indescribable. I'm a Criminal Justice major and I would like to become a lawyer and I hope
I can find a job in the State attorney office somewhere in the country or maybe work for the
International Criminal Court as a prosecutor. Well that's what my life is going to look like
for the next few years.... add to that a few jobs here and there and who knows what else...
I almost forgot - I'm involved in the American Criminal Justice association and College
Republican (even though I'm a democrat:)
I don't know if I told you (if I did, well just to bad, you're going to have to read it
anyway) but I finally found my soul mate. Her name is Iris Heller and she's is a wonderful
woman, I say woman because she's 25. Ok, she's older than me but I don't care and neither does
she. When you're in love nothing can stop you from loving someone. No matter how old they are
and besides, I don't need your approval since I'm a big boy now I got my pull up (for those
of you that don't know what I'm talking about well just too bad because it's really funny).
Well anyway she is perfect (no one is perfect but I guess she's just different from anyone
else :P. Did I say that she plays the violin and she is pretty darn good! She also wants
to become a politician, the first female president, so you better remember her name because
you are going to hear about her a lot. I almost forgot - she knows German and she went to
Germany for 2 weeks last January.
Well, enough talking - now take a look around and don't forget to read my poems!
That's pretty much all about me, I think. I'm a responsible, social, friendly, smart, weird
guy, well that's what I've been told by most of my friends, so I guess that maybe it's true
(We can argue about the weird part because I don't think that I've done a lot of weird things
in my life ;)
I almost forgot to mention the most amazing thing that happened to me not so long ago -
I got saved! If you think this is nothing, well I can guarantee you that it changed my
life around. If my memory is right, that was on April 16, 1999, about a month after I
started going to World of Life Church. It was a Friday
night and I was standing listening to Pastor Brian and I just couldn't stand watching
everyone on their way to heaven while I was still stuck in Hell. Since then I started
dating Iris and my whole life has turned around. It is just really hard to believe but it
is true. I opened my heart to God and he made me free from Hell and gave me an Angel.
But enough talking about that I need to get ready for church anyway.
