Nenhum destes filmes foram lançados no Brasil (pelo menos nunca tive notícia que algum deles tenham sido lançados por aqui).

Filmes feitos entre as décadas de 40 - 60. O primeiro filme de Kurosawa foi Sanshiro Sugata (1943, 1945), estrelado por Susumu Fujita (que também trabalhou em Juventude sem arrependimentos e Céu e inferno). Depois lançou filmes menores, que não são considerados suas obras - primas, como The most beautiful, sobre mulheres que trabalhavam em fábricas durante a guerra e One wonderful Sunday. Em 1945, lançou The men who thread on the tiger´s tail, adaptado da peça de Kabuki Kanjincho, sobre a fuga de Yoshitsune (irmão de Yoritomo), após os dois terem derrotado as forças do clã Taira. O filme foi impedido de ser exibido na época, só estreando em 1952. One wonderful Sunday foi feito em 1947, Quiet duel em 1949 (mesmo ano do Cão danado), Scandal em 1950, Record of a living being em 1955 e The bad sleep well em 1960.

Films made in 1940s - 1960s. The first Kurosawa´s film is Sanshiro Sugata (1943, 1945), starring Susumu Fujita (who also worked in No regrets for our youth and High and low). Later he made less important films, that are not considered his masterpieces, like The most beautiful, about women who worked in factories during the war and One wonderful Sunday. In 1945, he made The men who thread on the tiger´s tail, adapted from Kabuki play Kanjincho, about Yoshitsune (Yoritomo´s brother) runaway after they defeated the famous Taira clan. The film wasn´t shown that time, only starring in 1952. One wonderful Sunday was made in 1947, Quiet duel in 1949 (same year of Stray dog), Scandal in 1950, Record of a living being in 1955 and the bad sleep well in 1960.
