Q1. What is 'Chi -Kung', and is it the same as 'Qi-kung'?
Please see Rising Dragon Tai-Chi in our directory.
Q2. Which martial art would be easiest for my son whose sererly hard of hearing? He gets bullied at school (he' s 13),
but is very keen on sport. He lacks confidence. There are several martial arts clubs in our area, but I have no
idea which one to suggest.
Steve from Kent suggests perhaps Judo may be a good idea; useful for close contact and power against people larger
than himself. Also Ju-Jitsu, or Aikido.
Anne from Derby suggested any good martial arts school should be able to teach children with hearing (and many other)
problems. Have a word with chief instructors at several clubs and check out attitudes etc.
Jagga from London asks : have you thought of joining something with him? Martial arts often become a family pastime;
most clubs have more than one member of the same family training.
Q3. I am from Paris and am looking for a WTF Taekwondo school in South Wales area . I am at university in Cardiff.

Q4. I'm interested in taking up a martial art which involves weapons training - any ideas?
Kendo - swords, practiced with bamboo swords. Some forms of Kung Fu, Wu Shu. Tai-Chi has sword forms. Ju-Jitsu.
Q5. What is Hapkido?Is it popular; can you compete at National or International level? Who is the governing body?
Q6. Why can't ITF Taekwondo students take part in Olympic selection?
Jeff Kingson. Who says you can't? ITF students have been selected, but compete under the WTF banner because official
funding is not available to no-WTF clubs. ITF members can still attend squad training sessions for sellection. Ask your
instructor to find out details for you, or have a look at appropriate teams websites.
