General Info:
Trail length is 5 miles. Elevation gain is 1,000'. This is a moderate hike.
Location: Begins and ends at Fish Hatchery on FS road 475.
The trail follows Cedar Rock Creek uphill during first part. There are some cascades and one small waterfall. Trail then passes through Picklesimer Fields and then travels through a wonderful grove of white pines. Then trail climbs towards Cat Gap. (There is a junction with Cat Gap Bypass Trail if you take this you miss Cat Gap and cut-off 1 mile of the loop.). At Cat Gap, trail joins Art Loeb Trail for only a few short feet before descending from the Gap. Steeply downhill to junction with Cat Gap Bypass and John's Rock Trails.
