Big Sable Light

Big Sable Lighthouse is located near the sand dunes on the Lake Michigan shorline,in Ludington Michigan.Ships see this Lighthouse last on thier way to the Port of Chicago and first on thier way back. Now automated, its a shame that so important a Lighthouse, that its being left so abandoned. Big Sable is now part of the National Park service, and is in much need of repair. The tower has been repainted, but losse bricks and mortar chips, cause by the constant beating by the wind and sand, is very visable. The Light is one of the more distinctive ones. To get to it, one must walk 1.5 miles on a sandy wood walk.It is well worth it!
