Forty Mile Point Light


Forty mile point Lighthouse, is located in Northeast Michigan on Lake Huron. The original building was established in 1897. It was rebuilt in 1935, it is now part of the state park system. The tower is white and three stories, and is attached to a red brick building. This building is now being occupied. The grounds are well kept and the landscaping and setting it is wonderful. There is also a sign, with its picture on this site, which point in many directions to various attractions including Lighthouse , up and down the Lake Huron shoreline. Directions are easy, you simply go north out of Rogers City , up U.S. 23 till you get to the P.H.Hoeft state Park. After that simply follow the signs till you get to the parking lot.
