Franfort North Breakwater light,it is a two-story square white steel sided tower, and has never been manned. This operating light is located at the end of a long break wall on the beach of Frankfort,.It is often used by visitors, fishermen and tourists to walk out from the beach to the Lighthouse at the end. The break wall is however not real wide making caution a priority. Inside the Frankfort Harbor is also located the city of Milwaukee, one of the last remaining railroad ferries used that ran from Wisconsin to Michigan. The ship is now stored in Harbor on the Elberta side, its future is unknown. This is because over time it has become an eye sore, due of the rust and decay, also the costs of moving it and restoring at could be overwhelming, however the"Society for preservation of the city of Milwaukee" continues to try to save it. Just the personal notes this Lighthouse is also very near where I'd stay, therefore I have seen it and the ship many many times a year and will continue to.
