Manistee North Pierhead Light

There are two piers at the mouth of the Manistee river.

Located on the north pier is located the lighthouse.

The tower is 39 feet tall and is a steel structure.The

pier is 300 feet from the shore of Lake Michigan.

As you can see,it is very accessible,the only thing is

sand blowing and covering the walk.With the winds

coming from the west,this is normal on all of Lake

Michigan.There is plenty of parking,picnic grounds,

playground equipment and places to fish.
