Old Mission Point Lighthouse

Old Mission Lighthouse is located at the tip of a peninsula that seperates the "West" and "East" wing of Grand Traverse Bay,in Traverse City Michigan.

Built in 1870, this Quaint Lighthouse is nestled among large shade trees,on the beach facing the West Wing of the bay.Looking much like a old school house, the white building is very well kept. The beacon itself, sits in a small tower above the building, surrounded by black cast iron. Between the white building and shiny tower, one can see when this was in use, it was very visable.

As you can tell I am sure, this is a picture of a model,a Harbourlights one to be precise.I will get more pictures this summer of the real thing, but as a collector of harbourlights, I needed to show their detail.
