Tawas Point is located on lake Huron, in a state park.Built in 1852 and sence rebuilt,it is sill operating and run by the U.S. Coast Gaued.
The tower is 70 feet tall,with a large keepers house attached.The house is brown,trimed with white.The house is a great contrast to the white tower.
The state park is a great complex,with plenty of great views and all the comforts of home.There is a place for your camper too, so plan it as a vaction.Just off U.S. 23 ,if you get to Tawas,you will find it easily.
