The Marsh
The Marsh is a triangular area in the Southcentral part of Wisconsin that is approximately twice the size of Milwaukee county. It is the part of the driftless area ( never touched by glaciers) you never here about. Unlike the picturesque bluffs along the Mississippi river to the west, the "Great Swamp of Wisconsin" or Great Marsh of Wisconsin , reffered to here after as the Marsh, is one large swamp basically. I find it to be as interesting and beautiful as any other type of terrain , actually much more interesting.
Here are two pictures of the Marsh. The top one is of a storm rolling in from the west. The bottom one is a road side ditch that is home to many species of fish, plants and animals. These are typical veiws of the entire marsh area in the swamp part of the driftless area.
