Goldfish, Carassius auratus
these pictures show one of three large goldfish that have frequented the waterfront since at least 1999 -- perhaps washed out of a pond during one of our frequent floods. i estimate this individual to be 26 to 30 inches long and 10 to 12 pounds.

described above. not yet photographed is a third fish that is mostly white.
