Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks, Dendrocygna autumnalis
After years of false alarms from escaped Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks, the first surely wild birds since the days of Howard Lacey were found at Flatrock Lake County Park on 26 October 2002. It was just a matter of time considering their outright abundance in Kendall County. Two adults were present with 12 young (tg; photos).
