The Latest...

Hello ALL!!! Glad to be here celebrating Nubian Indigo 8 the website first YEAR on the AIR...that's right folks...I have been reporting the nappy news to the public for one complete year now...talk about how time flies when your having fun.

Thank you all for your support...it feels good to be appreciated for being me and helping or guiding anyone else that has needed it...I am truly blessed...thank you.

Now ...let's get cracking...:)

I have a lot of things that I am working on for the site and for my products...things are just moving along in a most satisfactory manner. So stay tuned because I expect to get my products on the shelves of some speacialty stores very soon.

Currently I am actively adding on new editions on the website to be uploaded online very soon...look out for changes within the following departments of Nubian Indigo 8...

My Regimen -- Yes a whole lotta things have chaged since my last update...please check it out.

Giving details on how I keep my hair moisturized, clean, and GROWING...;)

My Album--Nubian Indigo Unwrapped...I am going to change the format completely and have my album available right here on my website. It will be easier to follow with a more structured and condensed presentation.

I plan on uploading my 'first year in pictures' highlighting my coifs progress in quarterly intervals and will probably upload new progress shots on a quarterly timeline. This seems to make the most sense and will eliminate the need to sort or sift through pic after pic......I had a bit of the shutterbug itis...LOL...I know some of you feel me on that one.

The Latest...

Hello ALL!!! Glad to be here celebrating Women's History Month with you . I am hoping that you all have selected activities that will encourage the growth of Women in this country as well as abroad.

My intention is to keep VERY busy this month...well this whole season as a matter of fact. I have a LOT of functions to attend as well as MAKING THINGS HAPPEN. Certainly can't do that sitting around all day. These activities are either directly or indirectly related to the growth of N.I.8. as well as growth for 'MY' person...on a whole. Very exciting !

And AHH!!! spring is in the air...FINALLY NYC !! After this most disgustingly cold and brutal winter. Just a few more days before it's truly official. So I am more than anxious to get out there and enjoy this weather...while getting some work done as a definite BONUS...:) This is a must...for real.

So I will not be as available as I have been to you...for at least a short time. When I do come back I will have much to tell I'm sure. I will still be able to check in on my e-mail. But please be patient with a response. It may take me at least 14 days for me to send a reply to you.

But wait...I am not going to leave you all hanging...

F. A.Q. -- Or Frequently Asked Questions...a new feature that has been added to ensure that your questions do get answered...and quickly ! I have included questions that I am asked from visitors of this site and the messageboard. Sent to me via e-mail, pm, or messageboard hollah's...this way you should be able to to make full use of this new feature to get your pressing questions answered. I believe that I have filled it up pretty well...but of course I will be adding to it as more responses/ideas come in. And I can upload to my F. A.Q. database while I am out in the field this season.

Also included within this feature is a 'search' feature and 'private mail' feature as well. So you will be able to go to this area and conduct a search for the specific topic/question/answer that you need. And the private mail feature is for you to send me a message for more details...or to have your question answered with a more personal perspective...that relates to you exactly. Like e-mail.

What I am really digging on about this 'pm' feature is that I can check this seperate from my e-mail ( no overflow for me)...it allows me a heads up on the topic before hand. Also it's completely private...for those that don't like to post on the messageboard...all will not see your Q&A unless you request it. So shy ones are especially encouraged. And I can basiclly check it from anywhere...unlike my e-mail...and since I will be on the go...this is going to help me out A LOT. Check it out now!!! I have placed a link on the top of EVERY PAGE of this journal for your convenience.

Keep checking out the messageboards though for events and such. That will be like the best place to keep up with me because of the ease of posting without my Desk Top computer on hand.

'Cause I will be out there...maybe we will run into each other at one of the events...and of course the Nappy Gathering's. Gotta squeeze that in there!!!

Big Chop -- Yes, I have finally done the big chop...late December 2002. After 'TEN' months of transitioning. So, for 2003 I have got pix to share with you all in the Nappyhood.

My cut was done professionally by 'Keith Campbell' of C.O.I. Studios in Brooklyn.

You asked for it and now it's here...just for you. This library has only just begun. I will be updating this section

Gadget Corner -- With an increase of the nappy populous buying all sorts of modern devices to get along, I figured that this subject was worth a review or two. The newest 'HOTTNESS' for our gadget fever.

Ancient Secrets Revealed -- Now, as you may have realized, I was able to give advice with prescribed products to some in the Nappyhood. Well, I am hoping to expand on that idea and attempt to make a go of it and offer my products to all. I have been developing many formulas, tests, trials, and have come up with some winners. So be on the look out for that very soon in 2003.

Of course those in the NYC area will be the first to try it out.

Also to be offered will be literature as well as plans for natural hair conference participation.

I have made many modifications to make this space even more user friendly than your last visit.

I definitely have had a lot on my plate lately. Spreading myself out to exposure most positive. All in an effort to not only uplift myself, but so I can continue to have something of substance to bring to the table, to the tribe. There has been progress for sure. My hair is still reaping the benefits of the "Leave it Alone Challenge." A great way to give natural hair a rest from constant manipulation.

This "Leave it Alone Challenge" really is a great way to introduce yourself to a low maintenance, yet impressive coiffure. I highly recommend it. It Makes the transitioning stage a much more pleasant ride.

Nutrition -- Soy, there are so many wonderful things being said about this supposedly 'magical bean'. I want to focus on the healthy hair benefits that can be retained from Soy & Soy products.

Silica is a nutrient that every living thing needs to survive. How does this nutrient work to promote healthy hair? Horsetail & other supplements that have past the test. The good, the bad, & the right silica.

This "Leave it Alone Challenge" is a great way to introduce yourself to a low maintenance yet impressive coiffure. Making the transitioning stage a much more pleasant ride.

Nutrition -- Dedicated to bringing the tribe the real deal. News on encouraging good nutrition & establishing progressive habits towards healthy food. Leading to a healthier lifestyle & way of being.

Initiating new foods & habits to my own life has definitely proved fruitful for me (not just my hair). This really just makes me want to share with you what has been a blessing in disguise for me.

Random Effects -- Now of course, you had to know this was coming. Dedicated to the tid bits that we all love. Hair accessories, scarves, headbands, cosmetics, make-up, fragrances, clothes, shoes, style, books...........
