My name is Christine. I love gardens and gardening and I live in an appropriately named town, Garden City. I have a wonderful husband and four lovely children. For some pictures, open the family album. This is our dog, James, an English Setter, who sometimes reaks havoc in the garden. We moved into an old, fixer-upper, tudor seven years ago. It needed so much work, but the stained glass windows, old world character, and property big enough to garden and play in, had us hooked from the moment we set foot on it. It was built by a woman architect, in 1929, for herself, and the weathervane atop the house is of her at her drafting table.
Needless to say, we are still working on house and gardens...but it is a labor of love.

I have done a lot of traveling throughout my life. When I was 14, my father, a teacher at the time, took a sabbatical, and brought us to France, Italy, and Greece where we spent 10 months learning of our roots and culture. We returned again when I finished high school, and I spent 3 and a half years there in college. I received my BA in philosophy and literature from Deree College in Athens, Greece. I have a Masters Degree in Literature from Hofstra University in New York. I am a full time mom and on weekends I host a radio show from my alma mater, WRHU, Radio Hofstra University. My favorite hobby is spending time at nurseries and in my garden. Oh, lest I forget, I am also an avid, to the point of obsessed, tennis player.
