Tasks and Duties

Coachbuilders: 

  • discuss the product with the client 
  • prepare a quotation 
  • obtain the necessary materials 
  • draw up plans for the vehicle body 
  • cut and shape metal parts 
  • build the frame and fix it to the base 
  • assemble the other parts such as the floor, roof and side panels 
  • join these parts to the frame 
  • install the upholstery and the electrical wiring 
  • repair and replace parts 
  • ensures that hazardous substances are disposed of appropriately 
  • fit additional parts such as hydraulic lifts and refrigeration equipment to vehicle bodies.
