ANIMALS' AGENDA MAG is on the web.

**Update 12/98**Some sanctimonious

guy e-mailed me with a verse from the bible telling

me that
vegetarians are weak in the faith. He forgot

to include
the rest of the story. The bible plainly

says In Romans:14
that both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike

will find God's
saving Grace--and it warns that meat

eaters shouldn't condemn vegetarians and vegetarians shouldn't condemn meat
eaters. Both are cherished

in the Lord's eyes. However,
for me {The man called me a heretic} I have

been studying
God's word on the subject since I became

a vegetarian and
it also says that whatever you eat and drink,

do it for
the glory of the Lord. It also says Do

not destroy the
work of God for the sake of food. It also says

that you
shouldn't eat meat if it causes your brother

to stumble.
I wasn't going to bring the bible into this website too
much, because God's first agenda

is salvation, not vegetarianism....but,

I don't really fancy being called a
heretic....so, I will defend myself.

Firstly, I assure you my faith is not weak.

Especially
not because I eat a healthy diet.

Secondly, I find peace with these verses because

they seem to be the reason I went meatless and cut down

drastically on all animals products to begin with.

The bible says you are convicted by what you believe.

Well, so I am. I think that a meat-based diet

contributes
to pollution {destroying God's mighty works}

,it also contributes to global warming, which might cause

my brother in Australia to fall from SKIN CANCER.

Fact: If we didn't center our lives around a meat-based
diet

there would be enough grain to give every person 1 cup of
rice to eat

so that my brother would not stumble from starvation.

**These are only a few examples of the devastation from

GLUTTONY through a meat-based diet.

I sent this guy forty articles on factory farming

and the
pollution from it, the devastation of the rain forests,

the ice-shelves melting, the people starving

in the Sudan
and other parts of the world....and what

did he do? He
didn't even mention the articles

and proceeded to tell me
that judgement was set aside for

me as a heretic. I finally
called him a glutton and told him

I didn't even think he
was a christian and that I

would let the
Lord fight my battles. I asked him to read

"Beyond Beef" by
Jeremy Rifkin and "Diet for a New America" by John Robbins

of the Baskin-Robbins clan. I will bet he won't even

bother. He would rather spend his time condemning me

through his own denial.

People are dying of asthma related

problems>left and right...especially

children and the elderly. I recently

saw a friend from grade school and his

two year old daughter had died from asthma

related illness. OXYGEN, our

cells need it to remain healthy....

Oxygenated Enriched Water companies

like LifeO2 {on the web at

http://www.lifeo2.com}are trying to alert

people to the fact that there isn't as

much oxygen in the water and air

anymore. I drink this product.

The oxygenated water companies

state that the dinosaurs would die

from lack of oxygen if they were put

here in 1998, because of how much

oxygen is in our air and water now,

versus then. >>>People are coming

down with cancer all over the USA at

alarming numbers. It's my opinion

that the>reason the cells in thier

bodies are changing, is because>

of environmental pollution. We

have environmental>electro-magnetic

fields also, from Industry. I tell

you>that I sure am looking forward

to the day that the Lord>Jesus Christ

comes back to reclaim this Earth

from the>corrupt, and the polluters,

and the industries that so blatantly>

defiled it. Please, people, think

twice or even three times>before

you throw something away to end

up in a landfill that is perfectly good

{You just don't like it, or it's old}or

that can be fixed. **I spent a couple

of years surveying the situation once,

around a decade ago or so........

I took in things that people claimed

were "trashed" and fixed them and

re-sold them to others who were

happy to get them at such a cheap

price. I hardly ever made a profit.

I taught myself something.

People are wasteful. I fixed vacuems,

vcrs, t.v.s{until I realized how high

voltage t.v.'s were}, coffee makers, microwave

ovens. Before you throw them away,

realize that there are fuses and door

switches and rubber bands and other

things that cost anywhere from 2.00-

to 8.00 to replace and most you can

do yourself. When there is a bad storm,

a power surge can fry your fuse inside your

micro or television. It costs a couple bucks

to replace. On the other hand if your appliance

keeps blowing a fuse then something else is wrong.

On microwaves the

door switches wear out from being

closed so violently....on vcrs the

rubber bands that drive the pulleys

get hard and non--pliable or stretched

out or the idler tires that forward and

reverse the tape gets worn....for a

couple of dollars you can pop it off and

put a new one on. Picture jumpy? Adjust

the heighth of the tape rollers--the white

ones. You will have to make a special notch

in a screwdriver by filing a little square into

the middle of it to do this adjustment with.

Answering machine flashing red light constantly?

Open it up and turn over that circuit board that

is sitting up from the floor and you will see

a rubber band is hard and worn out and a pinch

roller needs to be reconditioned or replaced.

Price: probably about 5 bucks. Get a parts catalog

and find out. I have one on disk if you want to

e-mail me for the part numbers.

Most vacuem cleaners get

thrown away because there is a clog

at the base where no one wants to dig

it out. Your lawn mower doesn't

run anymore?--try unwrapping the fishing

line from the base of the blades underneath.

Your halogen torchiere lamp quits working--take

the dimmer switch out of the middle and by-pass

it--bingo, light once again--so what if it

doesn't dim anymore?--it also

doesn't get thrown in the local landfill,

and you will be surprised how long it lasts

that way.

IN OTHER WORDS

DON'T THROW IT AWAY! HAVE

SOMEONE FIX IT IF IT IS HIGH

VOLTAGE. OR TRY TO FIX IT YOURSELF

if it isn't, you might learn something--

then again, you might have a fire if it

isn't fixed right-hehehehehehehe.....
Oh

well, you know what I am trying to say.

I would hate to see the amount of crap

that goes in landfills that could have been

fixed. It is my wish this Christmas that people

quit buying anything {how much do you really need?}
until they sit

down for a half

an hour before hand and decide if they really need it

and realize that it will end up in a landfill at some

point.**And you fix-it people need to come

down in your prices. You don't charge someone

$80.00 for repositioning a slide to hit a switch on one

of those infamous new plastic vacuem cleaners. I

personally
buy the OLD Eureka Boss or Hoover models, because these stupid

plastic coated vacuems have a habit of not turning the

power on, because the slide on the side of the vacuem,

inside the vacuem at the bottom, gets off the track and

doesn't hit the on switch.

cattle farmer>can make a double killing.

BURGERS FOR BREAKFAST???!!!!--That's

going pretty far.......

When I hear that>there would>be no

hungry people in the world if we would>

feed people>the grain it takes to feed

the cattle in this>country>and others--I'm

sold. I am not taking food>out of hungry>

peoples' mouths to satisfy my taste for>

FLESH.

http://arrs.envirolink.org/news/bse_epidemic.html

***Note: I actually had an e-mail the

other>day from some nice man that

works for a company that>is in

partnership with the Texas Beef Group,

and has>applied for an application

to trade live cattle commodities>on

the net. He asked me if I actually

believe all of>the stuff I wrote here.

Yes, I do. And I am in lieu>of the

articles I read them from. He actually

tried>to tell me that the grain that the

cattle eat isn't>fit for human

consumption, and that they do a lot

of>foraging for food as well, and that

almost all "food experts" {does that

include Richard Simmons???} will

acknowledge that humans can't

consume>all of the grains now

going to cattle.

***I would like>

to answer this a.s.a.p. now.

Duh, really ??? I am sure that if

he gave>thought to what I said,

that he would realize that I>meant

the land taken up and used to make

feed grain>and vegetables like feed

corn!!! Obviously it isn't safe>to eat

feed grain mixed with garbage...Especially

if it has ground up other animals in it or

processed cow crap in it--It isn't even>

safe for them to eat it these days!!!

If you

planted soybeans and grain on that land,

and then got rid of the cattle that occupied

that land, because the only purpose you

can think of for them is to EAT them. They

have no worth or beauty. If that land were

used to plant soybeans and grain with--it would

feed a lot of hungry people, and our Rain

Forests>that supplies us with OXYGEN

and herbal treatments, and>that were meant

to be LEFT ALONE, might not be

vanishing.>I regret that your>only concern

for this planet and it's people is in your>

pocketbook....meat mouth.

TELL IT TO THE PEOPLE IN AFRICA ON

THE NEWS THAT WE SEE SCRAMBLING

AND FIGHTING FOR A FEW PIECES OF

DIRTY KERNELS OF CORN, THROWN

FROM SOME AIRPLANE!!! Do we think of

these people as our human brothers and sisters

or are they on the same plateau as the animals

we dominate? http://www.worldvision.org and http://www.foodfirst.org

>Think about>the word "meat" for a minute.

It isn't Dead bloody>cow flesh>that has to

have the urine and feces {e-coli, salmonella}

germs>cooked off--It is Steak

Tartar or Steak Diane or Beef>Stroganoff,

Beef Wellington, Veal Parmesan.>Why isn't

it labeled "Tissues of Baby Cow

that really>missed his mother and contact

with his own kind for>many weeks in a little

cramped crate with no sunshine"? How many

different enticing ways can you label DEAD MEAT?

**And

why isn't there a warning label on our meat

thatstates that there could be tons of

stress hormones in>your meat from the

frantic terror of the animals final>hours?

Or the agony of the living conditions

that it>endured before it was sent to

slaughter?>Far fetched?

Well, it is a

known fact that stress in>humans

makes for many bad things running

rampant in our>bodies that cause

disease....are animals so much different>

that we think that they are immune

to these stress hormones like cortisone and

adrenalin, The fight or flight hormone?

**>What happens when we

eat the tissues of thier flesh?>It cannot

be comfortable in a factory farm with

dead chickens>all on top of you and

around you, in sweltering heat.>Nor do

I think good feelings and hormones are

going through the body of a cow that is

being hung up on a hook upside down

after being "stunned" with a stun gun,

set on low voltage, so the beef doesn't

get damaged from properly stunning

the poor

thing--that is having her skin

from

her head removed with an air knife,

so some idiot, I say IDIOT, can make a

buck off of it selling her head to another country--

while she is still alive and gasping for air

or crying--think about it--how much stress

hormones do you think are going through her body????

>Read Slaughterhouse by Gail Eisnitz.....Fall

1997 for the facts!!!! It's on the links below,

Get it at Crown Books

or Amazon Books on the web

If anyone has a lot

of money out there--you could do a good

deed by sending this book to members

of Congress. It is like, not exactly a book

you can argue with.

>JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT
...we all

have the freedom to>think and state our

opinions. Otherwise, the Majority would

always rule, and no one would question

anything and nothing would ever change.

For recalls go to the federal meat-

inspectors online website at
:
http://www.ginetworks.com/~alans/index.html

One of thier top stories is "A new system to inspect meat

and
poultry is failing to meet a federal goal of "zero

tolerance"
for fecal contamination, meat inspectors say."

"Their accepted plan of operation for zero tolerance is

actually a feces tolerance," said Randy Wurtele.

**There is an excellent link on this site to where
you can write or e-mail your congressmen about this
subject or any subject.******

>Let's all get off the brain-washed>

bandwagon. **By the way, from

January 1997 to October 1997>my

cholesterol went from 254 down to

204, and all I did was become a

vegetarian. I didn't exercise or

anything. So, it really works, I know.

And my "good" cholesterol is way

up. I did not lose any weight, but

my cholesterol went down 50 points,

and that is alot! That, is of course

because>I did not exercise during

this period. UPDATE:

Now {10/17/98} Piggly Wiggly where

I live>is carrying Amy's--!allright!!!>You

may get your local grocer to carry

natural and>vegetarian foods too, if

you just ask.----------------------------

{cont'd}ArrowHead MillsWheat Free

7 Grain Cereal.>It's a hot breakfast

Quinoa, and Millet--and I know that>

sounds just awful, but it is good.2.79

Chic-kettes.>This

is a vegetable and grain roll that totally>

resembles chicken in taste and texture....

Use your imagination--I fried them slowly

and>put mozzarella and Hidden Valley

Ranch on>them and then put them on

a bun.They were around 5.49 for a roll,

that is a pound>at the Health Store

where I live............from Worthington Foods.

Cascadian Farm>

Oven French Fries from Organic

Potatoes....I couldn't really equate price

with pleasure with>these things....didn't

think they were "all that."Will post more

later, as I eat it. >Cascadian farms has

some wonderful organic vegetables.

>Also, Cascadian Farms.....Organic

"Spud Puppies" {tater tots}...these>

are great...only 2.19 a pkg. The local

Piggly Wiggly carries them, and if you

only ask, your grocer might carry

these items, too. MorningStar Farms

Burger Style, recipe crumbles....I will

bet>your grocer has this...you can use

it in tacos, hamburger helper;use your

imagination.

I personally only eat non-GMO and organic soybeans

Well, 78 percent of the time anyway

Soybeans are made fun

of, but they are>powerful anti-oxidants

with heart disease fighting qualities.

>And they are cruelty-free!!!

***Had this last night--It is excellent...I don't

know anybody that>could tell these apart from

the real thing....Health is Wealth>Chicken-Free Nuggets

...completely meatless....a soy protein>

product with stone ground wheat breaded....

.I dipped them in>Hidden Valley Ranch

dressing....There are 15 in a pkg. and

four>on your plate is plenty. Kids would

love these. 4.50 a pkg. at>your local

health store. Morningstar Farms

meatless breakfast links, patties, strips...

.only 3 minutes in>the microwave, and I use

them as a meat dish...they are delicious.

>These are usually at the grocery store.

I can't wait until this stuff>catches on

across the country....then who will the

cattle and pig>farmers sue besides

Oprah Winfrey and Howard Lyman??? All of us?????

Why am I doing this? Because there are

those of us out there>that are so

brainwashed by the meat industry

that they don't thinkthere is anything

to eat besides meat. Or that it won't

taste good.

>Lightlife Fakin' Bacon--

YUK, oh, this was the worst thing I

ever>ate in my days as a vegetarian.

It tastes like barbecued cardboard.>

I suggest Morningstar farms fake

bacon strips, they are delicious...

and you can't tell them apart from real

bacon, except for the fat>content.>

They are just as salty and smoky.>

And fake bacon goes real well with

Belgian Chef Waffles...they>are at

Jewel.>Amy's roasted Vegetable

Pocket Sandwich {like a hot pocket}...

but inside the crust is organic

shitake mushrooms, sweet onions,

roasted bell peppers and marinated

artichoke hearts....excellent.I know it

doesn't sound good...but it is. 1.39,

when they are on>sale at the health

store.

Please

check out the rennet link down below.

Rennet is made>from a baby calves'

stomache lining, and it is used to

coagulate>or bind cheese. Unless it

specifically says no rennet, it probably

has rennet in it. But, I dare you to try

to find it on the>list of ingredients. Only

a few companies list it as an>ingredient,

and then you wouldn't even know what

it was.I have asked people that work in

the deli's and they>have no idea. It

probably is listed as something you

can'teven recognize, that isn't in the

dictionary. I gather these are veal calves.

I am going rennetless. I had a pkg. of

this cheese>yesterday, and it tastes just

like regular cheese--only without the>

calves' stomache lining. The Health Store

has rennetless cheese {shredded and

unshredded}. Alta Dena makes>

rennetless cheese, and it is delicious.

They are in>California, zip code 91744.

>Just yesterday, discovered something

different and excellent:Cedar Grove "SQEAKS".

It is very fresh Cheddar Cheese>Curds from

Plain, Wisconsin. Instead of aging them,

they>rush them fresh in a pkg. They look

like little balls of cheese>and taste rich and

buttery. They have garlic and dill, pizza>

flavor, and original. They are 2.49 a 9 oz. pkg.

and if>you want a GREAT PIZZA, Take a

bobolli shell and top it>with a combination

of pizza squeaks and original squeaks....

and some chopped onions. You don't even

need tomatoe>sauce!!! THERE IS NO

RENNET IN THIS OR BOVINEGROWTH HORMONE.

>However, there is a high fat

content--so people with no gall bladders, etc.

should avoid this.

>Home page http://www.execpc.com/~cgcheese.>

Cedar Grove Cheese, Inc. Plain, WI 53577.

on Rennet.

Here is another recipe:

Boboli Ala Duwaney{o.k. I'm weird}Top a

couple of Boboli Pizza Crust Shells with

sauteed' minced garlic, onion,1/4 of a

mild pepper, and shittake mushrooms

{sliced}.......AFTER you>put a half a

jar of Spicy Pepper Trio Sauce from

Five Brothers>on both shells, top with

the sauteed' mixture {half each}, then

top>both with a thinly sliced organic

tomatoe and rennetless shredded>Monterey

Jack and rennetless shredded Cheddar

{Half a pkg. of each}. 450* for 8-10 minutes....

and it is more like twelve. This is good,

however watch how much garlic and

sliced tomatoes you put on.

Protean Barbecue Mix from Harvest

Direct, P.O. box?, Decatur, Illinois

62525-4514, 1-800-835-2867.This is delicious.

At only $1.95 a package, it is mix that>is

complete with added water. A barbecued

beef substitute,it really is good on onion

buns, with sliced onion, andI also sprinkle

non-irradiated organic parsley on it,before

I close the bun. It makes a pound.>

Cascadian Farms Organic Oriental

Vegetarian Meal.This is complete

and it is good. It has basmati rice, red

beans and vegetables with seasonings

from the far>east. I don't know what

seasonings they are--but, they>sure are

unique and good. A pound pkg. is

around $3.25in the health store...and it is

two complete dinners.>We have it with

one other thing though.

Hope this helps you to realize that you don't

need>to have a diet with meat in it to have

unboring meals.>And, in most cases, it doesn't

cost a small fortune to shop>healthy.**P.S.

Ask your grocer to start buying this stuff for>

the people that want to eat natural, pesticide

free>food.** I send the grocers in my area

40 page long>faxes. And it does help. The marketing

department of corporate offices of grocers do want

to know your shopping habits.

P.S.>PLEASE DON'T e-mail me and tell me

how bad this page is--I know it is too long,

too boring and too contradictory. Whatever.

Cascadian Farms Organic Veggie Bowl!

Large serving for around 2.25-2.50 in the

grocery store or health store. Terriyaki Rice,

Schezuan Rice, Pasta Marinara; made with

seasoned firm tofu chunks and I wish I had

the recipe for how they do it...doesn't even

taste like tofu. **By the way, I think if you

are using tofu for a meat substitute you should

get extra firm and season it. The terriyaki rice

bowl is like going to a chinese restaurant, with

a little soy sauce, it is good. Cascadian Farms,

Rockport, WA 98283 USA.

***Something new at Jewel...at

least where I live

anyway....MELISSA'S VEGETARIAN SAUSAGE.

Looks like summer sausage, in a roll like summer

sausage--but, the taste is fantastic. I cannot believe

how similar this is, but better than regular sausage.

I put it on a sandwich with mayo. It is vegan

and all-natural. This stuff is awesome. You

wouldn't even know it wasn't meat. Four slices on a hoagie
roll with onion-flavored salad dressing is great.

SLAUGHTERHOUSE, Gail Eisnitz's new book--just came out fall last year!
I am currently reading this and it is really disgusting me. Our government doesn't care a hill of beans about the suffering of these animals or the toxicity of the meat consumers eat. You really should read this. What a cover-up to the American Public by the USDA. Talk about corruption. You can get this at Crown Bookstore, too. This woman is a cruelty investigator and this book is not fiction. For those of you that could care less about animal cruelty--I guarantee you will think twice about eating that burger once you find out what is really on and in your meat. As for the Food Disparagement Law or whatever it is....I dare someone to find any untruths in this book.

This is PETA's Video Library...It has actual slaughterhouse pictures
They are not pleasant, but educational. Our slaughterhouse practices are cruel and inhumane, and I for one, am glad to not be a part of it.

This is FARM SANCTUARY--A really great organization. Here is where you can adopt a cow or turkey
like the ones on this website...they were all rescued from cruelty and live on a very large farm free from earthly cruelty. They have educational pictures and articles, too.
