| Abyssinian Tikru and Jello |
Despite of their smaller physical size, egos of our Abyssinian cats Tikru (Ch Amhara's Claudio) and Jello (Int. Ch and Pr (CFA) Van Grebst Peter) are just as big as those of their distant relatives in African savannas and Indian forests. They think they are invincible and irresistible, and they sure show it! On the other hand, their love and affection to their family members is overwhelming. And they are also very playful and sporty - they love to wrestle with each other and run all over in our house. |

| Abyssinian is one of the oldest pure breed cats. They are lively, curious and social. Our cats know all the time what's going on in our apartment. They also want to be involved in everyday life routines - sometimes maybe almost too much. | ||

Once, Jello was accidentally left in refrigerator, but luckily his cool captivity ended happily after 20 minutes. And he was not upset at all - he still jumps into the fridge as soon as the door opens. Abyssinians like to climb and they are very good climbers. If something falls down from the bookshelf, it was not an accident! But they are not often in so bad mood that they decide to break something as a protest. Our boys really miss their favorite climbing tree here in the States, we had to leave it to Finland. |
|
| Tikru often jumps on people's shoulders and likes to travel and hang around there for a while. Jello thinks it's very strange... | ||
When our cats enjoy sun bathing their fur shines and shimmers like fire, and they look so wonderful, happy and relaxed. As they know how gorgeous they look, they don't have any problems of low self-esteem. |

| Our cats and Mimi-dog get along quite well, though cats and dogs evidently communicate with different "languages". | ||

We were rather exited when our pets were in Finnish TV, in a children's program. They were performing in an episode about dog-cat friendship. Of course, we recorded the episode and show it to our child and adult guests, who usually find it very entertaining. |

| Jello is the proud father of two lovely ruddy Abyssinian girls, Proxima Chandra and Proxima Centauria! | ||
Nowadays the girls are attractive young ladies. "Sunny" lives with two Burmas in Turku, Finland, and "Kettunen" stole her breeder's heart and decided to stay in her mothers house. |
