Test Story
The intruders enter the forest, they are being very careful to make
not a noise. They think they are safe. They have made not a noise that
they can hear, they are pleased with themselves. They don’t see me, no
one every does, until it is too late. Hiding in the brush right beside
them as they stop to decide on their next move. I listen to their
jabbering and almost cannot contain my laughter at the stupidity of
their plan, my blue eyes almost flash with anticipation. In my
camouflaged clothes, and after years of being trained by the best, I
could walk right up to one of these idiots and kill him before the
others even knew what happened. But I will not kill them, that is not
my choice, I turn and leave them, sure they will not be gone far before
I return. I must report back and hear the decision of the council on
what to do with them. Hopefully they will allow me some fun.
I did not always answer the council, I was not always so generous, at
one time I would not hesitate to kill someone who entered my forest
unallowed. But they have shown me the better way. I know I would not
have survived much longer on my own, I am good, I have won many
battles, but I bear the scars from some that I have lost. Eventually
there would have been one who was better, who would be the one who
laughed at my ineptitude. The council showed me that it was not good to
be a loner, that together, with them as a pack, I was much stronger. I
did not always relish the idea, I was stubborn and foolish at most
times. But I learned, mostly the hard way, that they were right. I
approach the edge of the meeting place, and signal to the guards who it
is, I enter the clearing and approaching the council. I smile hoping
again they will allow me some fun.
