We go thru life bumbling along
Until one day many truths awaken within us
Some would say this is age that makes us wise
A maturity of thoughts a reflection of happenings
Life is like a merry go round with its ups and downs.
We all know that what goes up must come down
What comes down must go up
This will continue until we are no more
Our circle gets wider as we ride the merry go round of life
We gather good with bad around us.
The bad after a time we usually will throw away
The good we gather closer to us to nuture
Cherish, so it will grow, encompass us with wisdom and love
We have learned that we must greet all
Head held high shoulders back
A glint in our eye that we will win
Nothing matters but family and friends
As we walk further down the road
It is friends that hold the binding all together
As family has to move on to develop their own circle
With their friends and immediate family
We will always be their for them
Love and guide
But time for striking on own for them and for us
Friendship grow far and near in this world of ours today
Each reaching out for compassion, understanding
To be liked for ownself
Not as parent or spouse
The melding of minds,of emotions in friendship, understanding
A oneness that is so unique
A meeting of minds
Somewhere in trying to improve
Lifes ups and downs.
