Lovebirds of St. George
Welcome to the Lovebirds of St. George.
I bred lovebirds for 5 years in England before moving to the United States. I then kept a few pair but moving from apartment to apartment put a strain on the birds and myself. I quit the birds but kept every cage I owned until I got my own house. When I purchased my own house, I then went out and purchased a number of young lovebirds and waited until they matured. My first babies from the first pair are shown below.
Since writing the above, I have had many successes in the breeding room. I am trying to build a strain of lutinos and albinos in the masked variety and have had some nice split babies to breed together to keep strength and size in the lines.
Birds now being bred include normal green, blue, white, yellow, visual split albino, visual split lutino and cobalt.
I have also bred some very nice peachfaced that are all carrying orangeface, either visually or split.
Some of these babies are available on the For Sale page.
I have also acquired some birds that are possibly split opaline, the new color variety in the peach faced.
The possible split Opalines are now proven by breeding visuals. This beautiful new color variety adds so much more dimension to the peach faced colors. Check often for added pictures. With more new blood added and a great breeding season, these birds are now being offered for sale. Opalines are now being offered for sale. Please e-mail for availability.
These are photos of the babies I have bred.
They are normal/dilute and yellow/ino.

This is the Yellow/Ino looking more mature.
