Ovsyannikova E.I. was born in 1955 in St.Petersburg, Russia. In 1974-1979
she was a student of the St.Petersburg State Agricultural University. Since
1973 she is working in the All-Union (now Russian) Institute for Plant
Protection, since 1990 she occupied the position of research worker,
and since 2003 - senior researcher. She is author of about 20 scientific
publications. She took part in several scientific conferences, symposia
and congresses. She is a member of the Russian Entomological Society. She
was grantee of the Open Society International Science Foundation (2000)
and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (1997, 2000). Her scientific
interest lies in the field of applied and theoretical aspects of chemichal
ecology and plant protection problems concerning primarily orchard and
field insects and the nocturnal moths, first of all. E.I.
