The Tarot interpretation, like any other technique, becomes more interesting with practice. Like studying a new language, perseverance is essential, and the Tarot symbols are nothing more than the language of our unconscious spirit.
The Tarot is an instrument that allows us to access the knowledge stored in our subconscious. It is the words of our intuition, premonitions or dreams.
One day a friend told me, "I can't explain why, but before answering the telephone, I already know who is calling." Another one told me,"Through my dreams I know my future. Before falling asleep I ask my unconscious what will happen with this or that situation. I get my answer the day after and remarkably, I live exactly what my dream has predicted."
Declarations like these from my clients are numerous. One day or the other we all have had an intuition or premonition which was later proven to be correct.
Our future lies in our deepest self. When we consult the Tarot, it tells us about our feelings and worries and gives us answers in these areas as well as to our ambitions.
The Tarot is a kind, friendly, useful guide and can be consulted for ourselves or others at anytime and as many times as we desire. However, it is essential to concentrate or invite your seeker to do so.
During the beginning, pay special attention to the results obtained. This will enable you to double- check their materialization.
Often these events happen very rapidly, or they may take a few months to occur. In the Tarot it is extremely difficult to give a time frame. For an active person, events will unfold faster than for another with a more sedentary life style. Experience has proven to me that time does not exist in the Tarot.
At first, choose a set of Tarot cards that you like. There is a large variety on the market. I personally use Oswald Wirth's Tarot. They are identical to the Marseille Tarot, except for their colors.
The Tarot is composed of seventy-eight cards of which twenty-two are trumps or arcana called major, and fifty-six are trumps or arcana called minor.
The major arcana represent a person or a symbolic scene.
The remainder of the set has fifty-six minor trumps which are composed of four persons (king, queen, knight, page) and ten numerical cards (from ace to ten) in each of the four categories corresponding to the suits of the ordinary cards. They are the swords, pentacles, wands and cups. Their corresponding suits are the spades, clubs, diamonds and hearts, respectively, in the everyday playing card set.
In this book, we only use the twenty-two major arcana of the Tarot. They are sufficient and very precise. This method of interpretation is unique and totally adapted to our modern world.
To help the interpretation of your readings, you will find in the following pages, the significance of each card with the other major arcana cards in vertical rows of three. Naturally, in the arrangement or scheme, of the major arcana combinations are multiple and are adapted to each case (age, sex, profession, etc.)
Before approaching the current interpretations of the Tarot, here is a summary of the major arcana which is necessary to learn by heart. Become familiar with them. It will then become easier to grasp the language of the Tarot.
The manner in which the cards are played will have to be interpreted according to your desires and your situation, both past and present.

The Minor Arcana make up the bulk of the Tarot cards. There are 56 Minor Arcana cards in total covering the elements of Fire, Water, Earth and Air.
The Minor Arcana are best studied after learning about the Major Arcana first. A working knowledge of the Major Arcana helps when learning the Minors or pips.
The Minor Arcanas divisions are similar to that of normal playing cards. There are 4 suits and then court cards. The suits of the Minor Arcana are Wands (Staves in some books), Cups, Swords and Pentacles (Coins). Each suit has it's own King, Queen, Knight and Page.
Their correspondence to the elements is as follows: Wands = Fire = Aries, Sag. Leo Pentacles = Earth = Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn Swords = Air = Gemini, Libra, Aquarius Cups = Water = Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Some decks use the Page and Princess instead of Knight. It is up to the reader to determine which meaning is appropriate to their deck as this site covers the court cards as mentioned above.
When reading the Minor Arcana it is important to remember that although the meanings are important here, it is unlikely that the Minor Arcana will show issues that will be as important as the Major Arcana. Thus, when seeing these cards in readings, it is important to look at the Major Arcana in the reading first, to get a better understanding of the issues in the person's life.

{TAROT+SPREADS+}*"*{TAROT+SPREADS+}*
Tarot spreads can be used by others, or made by you. Before you do your spread, make a pattern and define what each place will mean. It doesn't matter where, because the cards will go where Divinity tells them to.
And once you make your arrangement, copy it down and label it *SPREAD ONE* or let's say itt look like a square you can call it *SQUARE* or if it looks like a love heart call it *HEART* and so on.
Here are some examples:
THE 3 CARD SPREAD
Steps:
Shuffle deck well. (6 times at least)
Lay out the cards as illustrated below.
Example:
1st Card 2nd Card 3rd Card
This is a pretty straight forward spread. The 1st card represents the past, the 2nd card the present and the 3rd the future.
With smaller spreads such as this if you see that they are all major arcana cards, it is a good indication that a larger spread needs to be done. This will give you more information on the matter. This spread is better for quick questions for small matters. Such as will I have a good time tonight? or whatever.
I rarely use this spread myself as I find the Celtic Cross is more appropriate for small questions however this spread is particularly good for learning how to read cards in 3's ,which is one of the most important elements of reading.
Simply remember with this spread and reading all 3 cards are related. Thus, when asking will I have a good time tonight? these cards will not mean their literal traditional meaning as such.
For instance, the High Priestess here could indicate having a reading regarding the evening or having a 'vibe' that the evening will not go as well as hoped (taking the 5 of swords into account). The hope coming from the past where I had a good time at a similar event. (Ace of Cups)
As this is not one of my real readings it is hard to say, however it is a good example of how to read in 3's.
7 Day Spread
This spread is good for finding out what is going to happen within the next 7 days. Just lay out the cards as below remembering to shuffle the deck well beforehand.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
...........8.
You can use this spread for others as well as yourself and it is equally effective.
Simply read from left to right, the first card being the day you are in and so counting 6 days from that. Each card represents each day. The final card, no. 8, will sum up the week for you. That one card will tell you the most about the overall 'vibe' of the week. Look to that card first, and then read the other cards with that in mind.
Another important point with this spread and will all of the smaller spreads is to remember that if there are 3 or more major arcana then a larger spread needs to be lain. The Master spread is good for this and you can request more information from this spread with it.
THE MASTER SPREAD
Steps:
Shuffle deck well
(6 times at least)
Lay out the cards as illustrated below.

This is a more difficult spread to do and you'll have to forgive my picture, it's hard to make something that size that still doesn't load too slowly.
The 1st row represents the past
The 2nd row represents the present
The 3rd row represents friends and family
The 4th row is what will happen if person remains on the same path
The 5th row is what is going to happen within the next 3 months
The 6th row is what is going to in the future
The last card is the obstacle or the lesson to be learned
This spread is to be read as a block, each different row in it's entirety. This is a spread that tells a story and if you follow your way through it and practice, you will see how the cards unveil a certain picture.
This is not a specific spread and is best for general readings regarding the coming few years rather than as a will this happen type of question.
I date this spread as within a 2 year period but I am sure you will find that often dating this spread will depend on the question put to it and also on the person you are reading for. You may also feel as though it will happen later or earlier. It is my advice to go with what feels right to you.
There is no simple way to show you how to read this spread. Rather, it is probably best that you practice it and get to know the positions in your own way. I have found this spread to be very useful and is one that I use the most.
