In this photo you see one of the many countless coves that can be found along the shores of Lake Mohave. This lake is almost 60 miles long and about 4 miles across at its widest point. All along its length are great vistas of desert and multi colored mountains. I love morning walks from a cove where wev'e camped for the night up into the hills to see the wildlife and take in the scenery. There are wild burros living here and they can be seen coming to the waters edge for a drink. Flowers in the springtime are plentiful and varied. Their fragrance carried by the winds for our pleasure! Enjoying dips in the lake is really special anytime day or night in the warmer summer months. Its great to wade out neck deep on a star filled evening and gaze up to the beatiful heavens and wonder in awe at what is before your eyes. Points of light coming from a distant time that we cannot even imagine! While staring infinity in the face like this I get such a sense of peace, and then I realize, hey, I'm out of wine! :-)
