The Influence of Celluloid Wonders
The effect of horror films on my life has been mostly that in the realm of the imagination, where these pieces of cultural creation have settled in to a home that was made for them. Long before I finally witnessed the graphic terror that is Clive Barker's genius, long before I glimpsed the B-movie artistry of Full Moon Productions' pieces, the images and tendencies were lurking in the crooks and crannies of my own mind.
I hope to create some sort of haven for horror fans on this page, people like myself and my friends (see below) who revel in horror films, gory or purely suspenseful, and their making. For those of you who aspire to Tom Savini's genius, or George Romero's vision of hell on earth, or even those who are simply curious and apt to stick their fingers in the "wrong places," welcome! Halloween 1999 was a bumper crop of weirdness, much of which I took pictures of. Stay tuned to see photos of friends and zombies in full riot...coming soon!
