Well here is the next Gary Marshall project and of course Hector Elizondo is in it

A socially awkward but very bright 16-year-old San Francisco girl (played by Anne Hathaway) being raised by a single mom discovers that she is the princess of a small European country.
After the recent death of her long-absent father, who, unknown to her, was the crown prince of Genovia, she must make a choice between continuing the life of a San Francisco teen or stepping up to the throne.

The Further Adventures

Mary Stuart Masterson plays a single mother raising two high school-age boys in Los Angeles. She has to work in many jobs in order to raise enough money. When one of her bosses refuses to pay her she seeks the help of a local nonprofit advocacy center making her employer pay up.
Intrigued by the agency's cases, she aggres to take a job as a case worker for them.
Rhea Perlman plays a lawyer who has recently signed to the agency. Hector Elizondo will play the agency's director.

Picking up the Pieces

2000

Woody Allen plays Tex, a kosher butcher. Sharon Stone plays his unfaithful wife Candy. Tex catches Candy in the act and in a fit of rage he kills her. To conceal his crime he cuts up her body and buries it in the desert in Mexico.
However, when her hand surfaces, a blind woman trips over it and it restores her sight. The hand is then considered to be the "hand of the Virgin."
Despite the church's fallen priest (played by David Schwimmer) objecting, the ambitious mayor of the town (Cheech Marin) creates an international three-ring circus of miracle-seekers, TV crews and born-again local prostitutes all interested in the hand.
All of this goes on while Tex is desperately trying to recover the hand before the sheriff (Kiefer Sutherland) finds it and uses it as evidence against him.

Comedy with Goldie Hawn (as a snobbish, rich woman, who literally goes "overboard") and Kurt Russell (as a single father of 4 wild kids): They meet as employer and worker and hate each other -- they meet again (the table has turned this time) and start to like each other and at the end of the movie they have fallen in love -- and go "overboard" together.

Sounds like a common story - no - this is a comedy with style !

Angelo/Angela Bonafetti

This movie was Marshall and Elizondo's first common project.

The movie is a comedy with a lot of "gallows humor" and intends to parody the "hospital-soap-operas". Unfortunately the movie doesn't succeed with this all the time. But there are very funny moments (in the middle of the chaos !).

Elizondo plays a double role: Angelo the son of a gang leader who has to be brought into the hospital after a stroke. But the police is looking for him. To be able to visit his father he changes into Angela (he shaves his beard, puts on a long-hair, blond wig (!) and a dress). --gorgeous--

The hospital staff and their methods are extraordinary.
