15 year-old Lacey Chabert began performing at age 5. She tagged
along with her older sister Wendy, who performed in the local
Mississippi theater. At age 9, she starred for two years as Young
Cosette in the Broadway production of "Les Miserables" and as
Baby Jane with Bette Midler in the television movie "Gypsy."
Over her hiatus, Chabert was in London shooting her first feature
film "Lost In Space," which stars William Hurt, Mimi Rogers and
Gary Oldman and is due for release on April 3, 98'. She portrays the
self-obsessed, mischievious daughter Penny Robinson.
Chabert starred in the television movie "Mother's Day." She also
has been very busy doing voiceover work for several high profile
productions such as Disney's "Lion King II: Simba's Pride" and
"Little Redux Riding Hood," as well as MGM's "Babes In
Toyland."
Chabert's other television credits include starring roles in the
popular daytime series "All My Children" and in the television
movie "A Little Piece of Heaven." She was also a junior vocalist
finalist on "Star Search '91." Chabert and her family moved to Los
Angeles from Purvis, Mississippi. Lacey is also an accomplished
violinist, pianist and singer.
