A flock of indigenous birds flew over head. Jack turned his head skyward and was greeted by a droplet of rainwater. "Oh no," O'Neill murmured. "What?" Sam asked with pure concern. As she finished heavy tropical rain began to fall. Sam couldn't help but laugh out loud and Jack laughed with her. Daniel and Teal'C turned around not getting the joke. "Come on campers!" Jack yelled over the noise of the rain. "Back to the StarGate!" They all started running at a slow pace as not to slip over in the mud. Jack was at the front followed by Daniel, Teal'C and Sam taking up the rear.
All of a sadden Jack felt very week and he fell to his knees in, socking his pants with mud and water. "Daniel, teal'c get back to earth!" Jack barked without turning around. "But whaâ*|" Daniel stared. "Just do it!" Jack yelled back, though the rain. They both hesitated awhile until teal'c pulled on Daniel's jacket. They both left, running. Jack wiped away the rain from Sam's face. "Sam?" He whispered, as he stroked her wet matted hair. "Sam can you hear me?" Jack lifted up Sam's head and heard her cock on her own blood. Sam let out a moan and slowly open her eyes. She blinked out the rain. "You all right?" Jack asked. "Um, I think so." She tried to sit up but failed. "Ah, what happen, sir?" "You got stabbed, remember, Sam?" Jack smiled and his eyes locked with hers.
"Not really." "Hold still for awhile," Jack unzipped his vest and jacket. He slipped his jacket under Sam's head, as the rain socked his black shirt. Next Jack unzipped Sam's vest and jacket, then lifted up her shirt. A big gash on her stomach was letting out blood that looked ten times worse with the rain. "How bad is it, Colonel?" Sam tried to look, but it hurt to much so she laid down again. "Ah, it's just a scratch, you'll live." Jack once again smiled at her and their eyes locked. Sam tried to laugh, but ended up coughing up blood. Jack placed his right hand over the gash and felt Sam flinch at his soft, wet touch. "I'm so cold," Sam managed to stammer out. Jack lay down next to Sam; he put his left arm on her chest and pulled her close, pressing his body against hers. He felt her shivering next to him. "Don't you die on me, Major Samantha Carter."
"Why, Colonel Jack O'Neill?" Jack wasn't the lest bit surprised that she called him Jack. Though he did like the way she said Jack. "Because," Jack went on. "Without you the sun set if worthless, the full moon doesn't shine so brightly. Without you my life has no meaning, without you I have no reason to live, to get up in the morning." Jack pulled her closer into his embrace. They laid like that as the deadly rain continued to fall.
