Just to prove what a
good show 'Bugs' was as both entertainment and for great female villains here is a member
of the law enforcement team beginning to wish he hadn't dropped in on this shady
businesswoman.
I am unable to remember the title of the following film. The story revolved around a disfigured woman who together with her sister become involved with a psychotic criminal and are forced to take drastic action to free themselves from him.
Not Molly Culver again I can hear you complain. Well what 'Silence is Golden' article would be complete without the 'VIP' silencer toting gal? Certainly not this one. Here is the final word on the show I love to hate.
Despite it's low budget 'Farewell My Love' has become something of a cult film for lovers of the gun moll film genre. The major (only?) reason for watching the film is to see Gabrielle Fitzpatrick exacting her revenge upon the killers of her parents.
'Dark Skies'
is a late lamented show as far as I concerned. A pretty good 'aliens are invading the
earth' type series it was cancelled just as it was getting into it's stride. It gave an
early opportunity to view Jeri Ryan before she became famous for her role of Seven in
ST-Voyager. She played a gun toting Russian agent whose allegances were uncertain.
'Diagnosis Murder' may sound like an unpromising series for stories featuring silencer babes but the scriptwriters often envegle one into the storyline under any pretext. Here is an example. People who have seen this episode will know what I am referring to.
If there are any new readers out there then you will have missed the original 'Silence is Golden' article which was lost when the Archive site dissappeared. So older readers will have to forgive me whilst I re-issue some of the accompagying images to that article. Always save the best 'til last. The star feature of this article this time is the film 'Danger of Love'. One of the strange things is that this film is more of a melodrama than a thriller or action film. The story is a rather mundane one about a man cheating on his wife with a younger woman. In the finale the mistress decides to bump off the man's husband and we are treated to one of the classic moments of silencer weilding mayhem.
