For those of you who haven't seen this show it is a light hearted TV detective series pitched at the same level as 'Murder She Wrote' and 'Hart to Hart'. Dick Van Dyke starred as Dr. Mark Sloan, a hospital doctor who also seems to spend most of his spare time solving crime. In the following episode a woman fakes her own death and then appears again intent on killing her sibling. Though she proves a sure shot against airborne teddy bears her sister survives her gun crazy assault.
Dick Van Dyke's real life son (Barry) also played his son in the series. Barry Van Dyke played Steve Sloan a police detective which allowed Dr. Sloan to indulge his passion for amateur sleuthing. The most interesting episode featuring Steve Sloan had a psychopathic woman murdering policemen for an assault against her years earlier. Of course, Steve Sloan fell under her deadly charms and despite two pretty good attempts at trying to kill him he returned as right as rain in the next episode.
Despite his advancing years Mark Sloan was never short of love interest either. Some women were there to help him but the motivation of others was more questionable. Here is one of Sloan's acquaintances whose no nonsense attitude came to the fore when Sloan investigated the murky world of high stake gambling.
The episode 'Blood Ties' had more than it's fair share of gun toting gals. There was a maverick woman police officer who was always quick on the trigger but the real 'girls with guns' interest came in the form of four undercover policewomen who had a sideline in killing men so that they could sell their cadavers. Amongst the actresses on show here are Kathy Evison, Michelle Lintel, Kelli McCarty, Brandi Sherwood and others.
One of the better 'bad girl' episodes had Dara Tomanovich starring as a very deadly thief. Her first act is to release a dose of deadly bacteria into the air vent of her hotel. Of course it is all a cover so that she can rob the bank next door. By the end of the show she has poisoned people, robbed a bank vault and shot her confederate before being arrested by the efforts of Dr. Sloan.
That's all on this show for the moment. Even though the show is now cancelled I still have loads of vidcaps from other episodes so expect to see more gun gals from this TV series in future editions
