'The Vending Machine' in 'Siege'
Voted by Taleya Joinson
BACKGROUND TO THE SCENE
In the episode 'Siege', bad guys take over Cascade PD and hold several people hostage, including Simon's son Daryl and Captain of the bomb squad Joel Taggart. Blair isn't caught 'cos Simon told him they needed a urine sample for a drug test. Consequently, he's roaming loose, and causing havoc with the bad guys for most of the episode.
THE SCENE
Ok, this is one of my favourite Blair bits. We see Blair, scared, quite frankly, shitless, and hiding behind a snack machine. His mouth's running overdrive, and he's swearing to God that he won't lie to any more women or do anything as long as they don't find him.
Then along comes the bad guy.
And he decides he wants a snack.
So the bad guy wacks the money in and tries to get the goodies. Being a typical vending machine, the goodies get stuck halfway, and the guy has a real anger management problem. So he does the typical thing: he starts to kick the crap outta the machine. The only problem is, Blair's still behind it.
So Blair freaks and pushes back, the vending machine topples over and we have one *very* squashed bad guy. Blair stands there for a second, open mouthed, then runs like hell.
WHY I LIKE IT
The first time I saw this I nearly wet myself. It is just so typical of what someone would do in this kind of situation, and so *Blair*. Great acting by Garett Maggart too - You can almost smell(!) the fear.

BACKGROUND TO THE SCENE
A serial killer is murdering people and stealing their identities.
He puts Blair on his list, grabs him, and takes him to his hideaway
THE SCENE
Lash has Blair chained down in the chair, about to force the drug into him. Lash is telling Blair that he is going to become him and Blair replies "You think you can *be* me? You can't *be* me. You can't think what I think, feel what I feel. When is my birthday? What was my first girlfriend's name? How old was I when I fell out of Mrs. Danbush's tree and broke my arm?"
WHY I LIKE IT
He knows he is about to die, but he still asserts some control over the situation.
This isn't often mentioned in fanfiction, but with nary a *blessed
protector* in sight Blair fought back with the one weapon he knew
best - his mind. Very sharp, very well reasoned attack on Lash's
debilitated psyche. (Probably that minor is psycology that everyone
writes about 'The Parking Garage' in 'Blind Man's Bluff'

WHY I LIKE IT
Yeah, yeah, It's just me again. High Priestess and all that...just
proud to contribute to the Blairism page (over and over and over and over...heh
heh heh heh heh lol lol lol lol)
'The joyride' in 'Smart Alec'
BACKGROUND TO THE SCENE
Ok, There's a smart alec 14 year old kid at Rainier, and Blair ends
up getting stuck as his 'mentor'.
THE SCENE
Blair volunteers to teach the kid how to drive. However,
once he gets behind the wheel, it's Corvairs flying over the footpath.
Blair's swinging backwards and forwards and screaming at people to get
out of the way, for the kid to stop. When he finally does, Blair
pulls the keys out of the ignition and boots the kid out of his Corvair.
WHY I LIKE IT:
"Get OUT of my CAR." I love this line! GM does Blair pissed *so*
well. I always wondered what it would take to finally tip Blair over
the edge. I guess threatening Momati did it. And of course,
you get to see Blair's face: halfway between laughing his head off at the
exhilaration, and pissing his pants at the very real possibility of ending
up wrapped around a tree. LOL!

Jim and Blair are tracking down some drug lords dealing in Golden.
The dealers get wise and deliver a stack of Golden laced pizzas to the
Cascade PD. Blair eats a piece and goes postal in the PD parking
garage.
In the garage, standing on top of a car, shooting Jim's service revolver
at those pesky 'Golden Fire People'
Even spaced out, BLair can understand that something is just not right.
He hears and listens to Jim, even though he doesn't seem to be listening
to anyone else. And when he gives Jim that gun and comes down off
that car hood and says "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" with that soft whimper in
his voice...(ssiigghh) Well, does anybody have *any* questions about
why this is the most written about episode ever? GM does excellent
angst (hear hear) and every emotion is wonderfully displayed on his face.
(Can anyone here say *SMARM*?)
