John Cusack was born in Chicago where he developed an
interest in acting. Coming from a family that was

surrounded by Brat Packers. And it was at this time
that Cusack started something that would follow him
throughout his career. John Cusack would not
sell-out. He acted in movies that went against the
grain of other actors his age and caught a lot of
flack. However, ten years later, Cusack still has a
job, and an impressive filmography too. Cusack's
notable early performances include Say Anything,
Eight Men Out, The Grifters, and Better Off Dead.
Cusack has continued to work for himself challenging
himself with a variety of intriguing roles. Cusack
stepped into the realm of writing and producing with
the comedy Grosse Pointe Blank in which Cusack
himself played a hitman who returns to his hometown
for his high school reunion. The film was warmly
received by critcs and audiences alike. Currently
Cusack can be seen in The Thin Red Line. Cusack has a
long list of projects lined up in the near future,
including Pushing Tin which opens in April. His
