Here's how Jonny described Haylie in the Disney Channel's Jonny Lang In Concert: "My girlfiend Haylie is really great. Calling her a girlfriend is kinda shallow 'cause she's so much more than that. 'Girlfriend' sounds like a little fling that you're having. She's like my bestfriend right now. I can talk to her about anything, and we have so much fun together."

There's no reason to make a big deal about Jonny Lang's age. Sure, he may have made a big splash at 16, but he's 20 now and ,as of a month ago, married. A changed man? "You bet," he says enthusiastically. "Marriage has changed me in ways that I can't explain." Wed to Haylie Johnson, his girlfriend of five years, Lang didn't need an even longer courtship to know they were mean to be together. "I'm not too young to be married," he says. "I look at my grandparents and they were 18 and 20 when they got married, so this is right for me." Johnson, an actress, "is very tolerant of my career. We've dealt with it now for five years and things have worked out." Because she'll work in Los Angeles, they plan to make their home there when he's not on the road - "and that's very different for me, particularly since I grew up in North Dakota." Johnson has traveled with him during the building years of his blues career and, yes, dealt with the screaming girls who have made him a teen magazine favorite.
