Masaru
Masaru is the
kid that Yusuke "saved" in the first episode. The word saved is used
loosely because the child was destined to arise from the accident without
a scratch because the soccer ball he chased into the street acted as a
buffer. Yusuke got himself "killed" and injured this poor child by
mistake. Earlier in the first episode, Yusuke made funny faces at
Masaru and told him not to play too close to the street. Obviously,
Masaru didn't listen, but Yusuke ended up looking like a hero, got a second
chace at life, and became the first of the four Reikai tantei that we all
know and love.
