Welcome to the Australian Cinemas Pages. I have been in the hobby
of collecting information on the history of the cinemas in the Land of
Oz since 1993. From this, I continued to collect information on Australian
cinemas as a hobby under the unofficial title of Library of Cinema Research
Data. Much of Austalian early cinema history has all but disappeared. I
am pleased to share with you what I have unearthed since I began researching
the cinema world and hope you find it as interesting as I have. Along with
New Zealand's cinema, I am all so interested in New Zealand, Great Britain
and American cinemas. If you can supply any information on your local cinema
inregards to name, opening dates, etc., please E-mail me at

Society Inc., and Cinema Theatre Association (Great Britain). Australia
like the rest of the world has rediscovered the cinema through the multiplexes.
