Before moving to the United States at the age
of 8, David Fumero (Cristian) lived on a farm in Havana, Cuba with
his brother, parents, grandparents, and a myriad of pets. The Fumero
clan's menagerie included guinea pigs, rabbits - and one very special
chicken. "I used to take care of him, and I loved him," Fumero recalls
of his feathered friend. "He would follow me everywhere." Sadly, the
relationship came to an abrupt halt on a fateful evening the actor
will never forget: "One night, my chicken was gone - and we had chicken
for dinner!" Fumero protested by refusing to eat. Now that he is all
grown up, he has but one pet, a dog named Cuervo, that presumably
never will end up on his plate.
Special Thanks to Victoria Woods, once again, for this interview.
