***************************************************************** Living together Jenny 'Android 18' Chan A Dragon Ball Fanfic ***************************************************************** It was for once, a beautiful, peaceful day in Japan, and this was also the same for a little island in the middle of the Pacific. Of course, it was only peaceful because most of the occupants of Kame House were still asleep. The only exceptions to this, was the old turtle master, Mutenroshi, and his giant turtle companion. Today, Mutenroshi stood towards the east, one hand behind the giant tortoise shell he wore on his back, the other on his walking cane. The sun glasses, and bushy eyebrows and beard hid his thoughts from every except himself. But if one were to take the glasses off, and shave off his facial hair, the turmoil rolling across his features could quite plainly be seen. He sighed as he watched the sun rise quietly. It was a quiet, and peaceful phenomenon, but a phenomenon none the less. No matter how many times he watched the sun rise, it was a breath taking sight, every single time. Sometimes, it was the only sight to look forward to in the day. He was so lonely sometimes. He had lived on his little island for the longest of times, by himself with only a turtle or two for companionship. Of course, he was a master martial artist, so he never complained about loneliness to anyone. His pride wouldn't allow him to. Then, one day, a little boy sporting a tail, and the wildest hairdo he had ever seen, came into his quiet life, and it was never quite the same afterwards. The same day the boy Gokou, came, another boy, a bald boy named Kiririn came. With them, came a whole host of family, friends and enemies. And master Mutenroshi was not lonely anymore. Time went on, and soon Gokou left to make a home for his family, and so did the rest of the people, but Kiririn stayed. Kiririn soon became a master martial artist in his own right, but unlike Mutenroshi, he was not afraid to voice his complaint of lack of companionship. Or, more specifically, of female companionship. Kiririn longed to be married. Then, SHE came. The source of his problems. Mutenroshi sighed as he thoughts back to the day she had come. ~Hey, Master Mutenroshi? I want you to meet some one.~ ~Who is it, Kiririn?~ ~This, Master Mutenroshi, is Android #18.~ ~Kiririn, are you mad?! She's one of the androids Trunks warned us of! Why did you bring her here?!~ ~No, Master Mutenroshi. She's different. She isn't a bad android.~ ~Oh. You aren't?~ ~.... that would depend of your definition of 'bad'.~ ~18! Stop giving Master Mutenroshi the evil eye. Do you want to live here or not?!~ ~Actually, Kiririn. I told you time and again, I do not NEED a place to live. I am an android. I am programmed to survive.~ ~Uh... well... just keep quiet, and try to make a good impression, okay?~ ~Whatever.~ ~Right. Uh, so, Master Mutenroshi, uh, would you mind if 18 stayed with us?~ Mutenroshi sighed again, when he thought of his reply. He wasn't thinking with his HEAD at the moment, which was probably why he nodded vigorously, and said yes, visions of 'penthouse' and 'playboy' dancing in his head. He had learned the hard way, the next few days, that 18 didn't exactly react well to people trying to get her to pose in bikinis in front of cameras. The next few weeks after 18's arrival, Mutenroshi noticed some subtle differences around the Kame House. Some were good, others were disturbing. For examples, Mutenroshi found himself looking forward to Thursday and Friday meals, since, that was when 18 cooked. The house was actually clean, and smelled nice too. When ever appliances were broken, they were fixed, since 18 had stated once that "if a can build an android much like myself from scratch, Mutenroshi, I can fix a toaster." Then, things started going down hill from there. Mutenroshi remembered coming home once, and discovering that his hardwood floor had been converted into pink carpets. There was pink lace curtains over the window, and frilly cushions. All these things, Mutenroshi managed to swallow. It was rather embarrassing whenever guests came over, but it was all right. Then, yesterday, much to Mutenroshi's horror, all of his magazines had vanished. He had searched the entire house inside out, and found no trace of them. Kiririn told him that 18 had gotten rid of them. Then, having nothing to do, Mutenroshi sat there, reflecting upon the changes in his life... and decided he did NOT like the way things were going. Since when had he, master Mutenroshi, been bossed around?! Why did he have to keep his turtles outside, because of their smell? Why was he taking orders from a woman? And, most importantly, since when did ANYONE have the authority to throw out his playboys?! Mutenroshi sighed again, and noted that the sun was already up, and the sky was lit up brilliantly. 18 and Kiririn should be getting up some time soon. Mutenroshi went back into the house, and discovered that 18 already was up, and since it was Friday, breakfast was on the table. "Good morning, master Mutenroshi," she said. Mutenroshi was quite aware that she only called him 'master', because of Kiririn, not because she respected him. Mutenroshi grunted back. Looking at 18's ring finger, where a small diamond was worn, Mutenroshi snorted. ~She probably only married Kiririn for his money.~ He didn't listen to himself when his sub-consciousness told him that Kiririn HAD no money. "Kiririn and I are going to the main land to go shopping. Would you like to come?" Mutenroshi shook his head. He no longer wanted to spend any more time than was necessary with this woman. 18 nodded. "Alright. We'll be back by sunset." Mutenroshi grunted again. A plan was forming in the back on his mind. He would let them go, have fun this last time, then... he was going to insist she leave. ***************************************************************** It was five minutes before sunset, and the roar of a jet told Mutenroshi that 18 and Kiririn were home. Vaguely, he could hear the couple's idle chatter. "Kiririn, stop that!" "But 18, you're... you're..." "I am well aware of that! You don't have to follow me around like a dog just because of that! Stop it!" "No, you might hurt yourself!" "Kiririn, if you don't stop following me around, I'm going to trip on you, then REALLY hurt myself!" "Oh... alright. I'll go tell Master Mutenroshi the good news!" "No, we'll both go tell him." A few moments later, 18 and Kiririn came into view. 18 had an annoyed look on her face, while Kiririn was hovering over her like some sort of fly. "Master Mutenroshi, we're home..." "I know, I heard you," Mutenroshi replied. "Kiririn, 18, I have come to a decision. I have something to tell you." Mutenroshi held his breathe. He felt like scum at the moment, but it had to be done. "We have something to tell you too, Master," Kiririn said softly, a wide grin on his face. "18... she's... she's pregnant!" Kiririn started squealing with happiness, while even 18 couldn't help but put on a small, shy grin. Mutenroshi stared at the couple. "What?! 18 is pregnant?!" 18 nodded. "But... but... how can this be?! She's a robot!" "I am NOT a robot," 18 replied testily. "I was a human once, before I became an ANDROID." Mutenroshi could only stare. What was he going to do? He couldn't kick a pregnant woman out of her home. "And, I have something else for you," 18 said. She threw a bag at Mutenroshi. "If you want me, I'll be inside." Then, she left. Kiririn grinned widely after her. Mutenroshi looked inside the bag, and his eyebrows shot up. "Kiririn, what is this?!" Kiririn looked back at the master. "Huh? Oh. Those are the latest issues of playboy, and Victoria secret and stuff. 18 said that you looked so miserably the last few days, that even SHE felt guilty, so she bought you some new ones." Something in Mutenroshi cracked. "She... she bought theses... for me?" He asked weakly. "Uh-huh. Now, what were you gonna tell us, master? Kiririn asked. "Huh? Oh, uh, um, nothing. Nothing at all, except, congratulations, Kiririn! Congratulations!" Kiririn smiled. "Thanks, Master! I'm going inside now. Are you coming?" Mutenroshi didn't look up from the Victoria secret catalogue he had. "Hmm? No, no, that's alright Kiririn." The End
