***************************************************************** Guards of the Senshi Pre Wanderings 4: Realization A 'Wonderings of Reality' Story Written by Jenny 'Android18' Chan android18@hotmail.com www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Pagoda/index.html ***************************************************************** Sailor Jupiter looked at the mountain of paper work that laid in front of her from here to the heavens, and gave a whimper. Slowly picking up a pen, she started the tedious work of putting her signature, somewhere on every piece of paper. Two months ago, the observatory set up on the moon detected something was headed towards the earth. Last week, the visitors had arrived. A large space ship followed by a dozen other ships had landed just outside of Crystal Tokyo, and several people had walked out of the ship, claiming to be coming in peace. They were the people of the Black Moon. Despite knowing the bad news that the arrival of the Black Moon meant, the Sailor Senshi were unable to just blow them to bits the moment the arrived on earth. That would have screwed up the timeline. Which was why they had to play the courteous hosts to their visitors, and show them around the planet. The Black Moon had asked to be shown around Earth, because, as they said, they were very interested in Earth. Queen Serenity and King Endymion could not say no to their request without harming the timeline. Despite landing peacefully, the arrival of the Black Moon had caused quite a lot of chaos around Crystal Tokyo, and the mountain of paperwork on Jupiter's desk was a result of that chaos. Jupiter looked at the clock. ~Great. I have to stay here until this gets done, and I still have a trillion pages left to go.~ The fact that every other senshi had about the same amount of paper work to do gave Jupiter little comfort. There was a knock at Sailor Jupiter's door. The woman looked up from the paper work strewed on her desk in surprise. She looked at a clock, and saw that it was 2:00 in the afternoon. She hadn't expected anyone. "Come in," she called. The door opened, and a 12 year old girl poked her head into the room. Her face was expressionless, and her blue eyes betrayed no emotions. Right away, Sailor Jupiter knew something was wrong. She could always tell what kind of a mood her ward was in, unless her ward was in trouble. Then, she always tried to hide it, by putting on an expressionless face. And Sailor Jupiter knew that her ward was in trouble now. It was 2 pm. She was SUPPOSED to be in school. "Jene Shock," Jupiter said in an authoritative tone, "why are you not in school?" Jene didn't answer. Instead, she came into Jupiter's office, leading a middle aged man, who looked like he was ready to break down at any moment. Jupiter got to her feet, when she recognized the man to be the Jene's private tutor. "Kunou-san!" Jupiter said. "What brings you here?" The man, Kunou looked down at the girl who had her hands shoved in her pockets, and a look of carefully practiced apathy on her face. Then, he looked back up at Jupiter, a look saying 'what do you think?!' on his face. "Oh," Jupiter said quietly. "Is... is something wrong?" "I quit," Kunou said. "I can not teach this child here!!" "But-!!" Jupiter quiet down, when she saw the look of sheer terror and fear in Kunou's eyes. "Alright, Kunou-san. I'm sorry this had to happen. Good day." Kunou nodded, turned, and walked out of Sailor Jupiter's office, closing the door behind him. Jupiter could then hear him give a laugh of insanity, and run down the hall, screaming, "I'm free! FREE! AHAHAHAHA!!!" Jupiter sighed, and sat in her chair again. She didn't even bother to look at Jene to know that the girl had a look of complete calm on her face. "Explain. Now." Jupiter ordered, looking up. "Kunou-san is a fine teacher in all ways, save for one." Jene said in a monotone. "He treats me as though I'm a child." Jupiter didn't look up. She was trying to battle the headache raging in her temple. "Jene, you ARE a child." Jene didn't answer, and Jupiter knew something was wrong right then. ~What's going on?~ Jupiter thought to herself. ~We usually argue for a few minutes about this.~ Jupiter looked at Jene and saw that the child's carefully crafted mask of apathy was cracking. That alone, caused Jupiter to want to scoop Jene into a hug, because she knew that the very few times Jene 'cracked', tears would spill. "Jene? You can tell me." Jene bit her lip and took a deep breath. She opened her mouth to speak... and that was when the door opened. This time, a high ranking officer was leading the Prince Demando and Wiseman into the room. Jene turned to see who interrupted her, and her eyes went wide in recognition and awe. Demando looked at Jene for a moment, and dismissed her as he turned to look at Jupiter. Wiseman, however, kept his face directly in Jene's direction, ignoring Jupiter altogether. Jupiter hastily stood up and fought the instinct to grab Jene and make sure she was out of danger. However, her visitors were giving her no reason to be protective. They had yet to cause any trouble. "Prince Demando! Wiseman! Can I help you?" Jupiter asked, masking her true temptations. "Actually, Senshi Jupiter," Demando said with a smile. "You CAN help me. You see, I was wanting to see the military bases of Crystal Tokyo, but alas, this guide," Demando looked at the officer with disdain, "says he does not have permission to led us into the bases. I was wondering if you would mind acting as our guide, and taking us into the bases." "Well Prince Demando," Jupiter said, as sweetly as possible, "I'm quite sure there's a reason behind not letting you into the bases." ~I know exactly why you want to see our bases. You will NOT get the information you need to get past our military,~ Jupiter thought fiercely to herself. "Oh, but I would very much like to see them," Demando said. "And, your royalty said that they would show us around Earth." Jupiter grit her teeth. "Very well, Prince Demando. I'll see what I can do. However," Jupiter glanced at Jene. "I am rather busy at the moment..." "The child can come with us," Wiseman said quickly. It was the first thing he had said so far. "Oh, wow!" Jene said. Her previous emotions seemed to vanish. She looked up at Jupiter hopefully. "Can I come?" "No." Jupiter replied. ~I don't trust having Wiseman around you.~ "Why not?!" Jene cried. Jupiter looked at Jene with an iron glare. ~Why are you being so difficult?!~ She wondered. ~I'm doing this for you own good! You don't WANT to be near Wiseman.~ Jene gave a pout and crossed her arms, obviously angry. She knew better than to argue though. "We'll continue our talk at home," Jupiter promised, feeling bad about ditching her ward. She kneeled down and looked Jene in the eye, hoping Jene would understand why Jupiter was doing this. Jene refused to look at Jupiter. Jupiter sighed. She stood up and followed Demando and Wiseman out the door. ***************************************************************** Jupiter felt like killing something. After leaving her office, she had gone straight to Serenity and talked to her about Demando wanting to see the military bases. The queen knew letting the soon-to-be enemy learn anything about our military would be a fatal mistake, but she had to let them in. ~The bastards...~ Jupiter thought. Not only had they gotten into the base but they had spent hours there too, learning all that they could about the base. This annoyed Jupiter for three reasons. 1) They learned more about the military, 2) They kept her from doing her paperwork which she knew would have doubled in amount, and 3) they had kept her away from Jene. Her talk with her ward would have to wait until the morning. Jupiter walked into her living quarters, and noted two pairs of shoes by the doorway. She had guests. Walking into the living room, Jupiter saw Sailor Mars sitting in front of the fire place, meditating. Beside her, was Mars's own ward, Janet Shock, or Jene's identical twin. Jupiter noted with some amusement, that, even though Janet APPEARED to be meditating, the way her head was dipped forward coupled with her breathing pattern told the Senshi that the younger girl was asleep. Jupiter walked to her guests and squatted down beside them. If they noticed her, they made no indication of it. Jupiter tapped Janet lightly on the shoulder. She did not move. Jupiter tapped harder, and Janet fell over, right into Mars, snoring softly. Mars did not move. Jupiter suppressed a giggle. She grabbed Janet's arm gently, and slowly eased the girl off of her guardian. She lifted Janet into her arms, and carried the girl into one of the rooms so she could share a bed with her sister. Jupiter knew something was wrong right away as soon as she walked into Jene's room. The temperature was way below what it ought to be. It was almost freezing in the room. Jupiter went to the thermostat, and turned up the heat to its normal temperature, and the room instantly responded to her commands. Then, she set the girl in her arms into Jene's bed to tuck her in beside her sister. Jupiter's heart leapt into her throat when she realized that Jene was not in her bed. She swallowed, tucked Janet in, and then walked quickly back into the living room to find that Mars had ended her meditation and was sipping tea. She offered Jupiter a cup and she accepted. Her heart was racing, where could Jene have gone?! Wiseman showed some interest in her this afternoon. Could have taken her?!. "She's at the dojo." Mars suddenly said calmly. Jupiter blinked. "Huh? How did y-" "Your voice might not have asked, but your face was screaming your question," Mars replied. "Don't worry, the Black Moon doesn't have her. She's at the dojo." "How did you know she'd be at the dojo?" Jupiter asked. "Jene told Janet. Janet tried to keep it a secret, failing miserably. I found out." Jupiter exhaled a deep breath she had been holding. She was more than just a little relieved. "I'm going to go talk to that girl right now!" She announced. Mars nodded. "I'd suggest you do it quickly too." ***************************************************************** Jupiter looked at the dark dojo and frowned. The blinds were drawn, and the doors were locked. The whole place seemed cold. Jupiter put her hand (ungloved) on the door knob, which read her finger prints, and promptly unlocked the doors. She stepped inside quietly. Once inside, Jupiter walked quickly and quietly to the end of the hall way. Turning the corner, she saw a small glow of light from a candle. She also saw and heard the movements of the girl she was looking for as the girl practiced a kata. Jupiter watched silently for a few more minutes. Jene did not see her. Finally, she spoke. "Keep that leg straight, Jene." Jene stopped and whirled around, a surprised look on her face. Then, the surprise melted away into fury. Jene turned and continued on with her kata, not listening to Jupiter's advice. Jupiter sighed and walked up to the girl. Suddenly, Jene whirled around in a kick, obviously meant for the older woman who managed to duck out of the way in time. Jupiter's eyes went wider when Jene continued to attack her with strike after strike. The attacks weren't half bad, actually, but Jene was nowhere near Senshi fighting level. Finally, Jupiter blocked a kick, and gave a punch of her own. It was a light punch, but it connected with Jene's jaw, and the girl fell to the floor, wincing. Jene rushed back to her feet, a snarl on her face even as it began to bruise. She gave a battle cry and lunged at Jupiter, her attacks growing fiercer, but her anger made them wild and left her defense wide. Jupiter easily kept her ward at bay. Her second punch sent Jene onto the floor again. This time, it had been a hard punch and connected solidly in Jene's belly. Jupiter expected the girl to back down now, but much to her surprise, she just kept coming, and coming, and coming. But despite all her energy and eagerness to fight, Jene was still an amateur, and within a few more minutes, she was on the ground again, lumps and bruises decorating her body. Finally, she gave a shout of frustration. She eased herself into a sitting position, rubbing some of her bruises. Without saying a word, Jupiter sat down beside Jene, and gently took the 12 year old's left arm, gently rubbing at a bruise. Jene sniffed, and jerked her arm away. She turned so that her back faced the green clad senshi. Jupiter raised an eyebrow. ~Okay, if that's how you want to play it...~ She also turned around so that she was back to back with Jene and crossed her arms. They sat silently not talking for the better part of 5 minutes. The entire time, Jupiter ached, wanting to just turn around and scoop her ward up in a hug. But she didn't, because she knew she wouldn't be able to help Jene until the stubborn girl wanted it. Jupiter heard Jene begin to sniff and rub her face fiercely to get rid of the tears. Finally, Jupiter cleared her throat. "I'm sorry I hit you so hard." "Don't apologize." Jene muttered. "It was a fight. You were supposed to hit hard." Jupiter was silent for a while, but now she felt better. She had some sort of clue as to where Jene was trying to go. "Why wouldn't you let me see the military today? Why won't you let me go to the acadamy?" ~Aha. I was right,~ Jupiter thought to herself. ~So THIS is what it's about.~ "Is it because I'm not good enough of a fighter?" "No!" Jupiter cried, a little louder than she intended. Truth be told, Jupiter knew Jene had a LOT of potential, but she just couldn't send the girl to the Constellational Senshi Academy on the Moon (The C.S.A.M. is the M.I.T. of fighting schools. Senshi of all kinds go there to train). "Then WHY?!" Jene demanded. She whirled around to stare angrily at Jupiter's back. ~I can't tell you why,~ Jupiter thought miserably to herself. ~Not without screwing up the timeline.~ "I knew it," Jene growled, getting to her feet. "I'm not good enough! I knew it! Why do you make me go to school when I should be spending that time improving my skil-" Jupiter also got to her feet. The look in her eyes stopped her ward in mid-rant. Jene was suddenly worried. "What's wrong?" "I'm sorry," Jupiter said softly. "I... I just can't send you there. It's unjust and unfair and cruel, but you can't go!" "Why not?!" Jupiter bit her lip. Then, she exploded. "I know that it's totally unfair, there IS no reason! In fact, you should have been sent to the moon YEARS ago! The first time we tested you for fighting potential, you scored off the charts! But I'm sorry! You just can't go!" By the time Jupiter was finished shouting, tears were streaming down her cheeks. Jene stared at her guardian, fear in her eyes. She watched as Jupiter collapsed to the floor, sobbing. The girl didn't know what to do. Usually, it was the other way around. Jupiter would comfort Jene. For once, the tables were turned, and Jene had no clue what to do. Jene nervously sank to the floor beside Jupiter. "I'm sorry," Jene said, "I... I shouldn't have been so stubborn. You are my guardian, and you are a senshi. You have good reason for everything you do. I'm sorry." "It's not your fault," Jupiter whispered, pulling Jene into a hug. "It's not your fault. Life's so unfair." ***************************************************************** Jupiter and Jene left the dojo a few minutes later. They were both silent, but both felt a little better. Jupiter had got to listen to Jene, and Jene had gotten to get what she wanted to say off her chest. Jupiter suddenly stopped walking, and Jene stopped to look at her curiously. "What is it?" Jene asked. Jupiter smiled. "Hey, do you want to go see the military base?" She asked. Jene's eyes lit up. "You mean it?!" "Sure, why not? I feel really crummy for ditching you this afternoon. Will this make it up to you?" "Yeah!" Jupiter grinned. "Alright, let's get going!" The two made their way to a train station, and after an hour or so, the train dropped them off a little ways away from the base. They walked happily, Jene chatting happily with Jupiter. Suddenly, Jupiter stopped walking, and put a hand on Jene's shoulder. Jene stopped walking too, and turned to look at her guardian. "What is it?" Jene asked. "Shhh..." Jupiter whispered. Suddenly, four shapes appeared before Jupiter and Jene. The two jumped into defensive fighting positions. "Well, well, well!" One of the four said. "What have we got here?" She grinned. The second one also grinned. "Looks like we hit the jackpot." Jupiter's eyes narrowed in recognition. She hadn't seen these four faces in close to a millennium, but she recognized them anyway. It was the Ayakashi sisters, Petz, Karaberas, Beurche and Cooan. But Jupiter had to pretend she didn't know them. "Who are you?" Jupiter demanded, though she already knew the answer. Petz gave a laugh. "We are the Ayakashi sisters of the Black Moon! I am Petz, the eldest." "I'm Karaberas, second sister." "I am Beurche, third sister." "My name is Cooan, youngest sister." "Okay," Jupiter replied coolly, "surely you know who I am, but if you don't, I am Senshi Jupiter of Crystal Tokyo. Now that the introduction is over, what do you want?" "Oh my, how positively rude!" Beurche said, looking at Jupiter with disdain. "YOU needed to be taught some manners! All we wanted to do was look around!" "You don't have the authority to be here," Jupiter growled, "besides, your prince already looked around this afternoon." "Maybe so," Cooan said, "but we got orders to carry out." She turned to go. "You're not going anywhere!" Jupiter growled. The sisters stopped and turned to look at her, bored looks on their faces. "You three get going," Petz said, "go on. I'll stay here and take care of her." "I'm not taking orders from you!" Karaberas sniffed. "You're not my boss." Petz rolled her eyes. "Fine then. You stay, the rest of us will go then." "That's better." Karaberas grinned, taking her whip out. "Keep it quiet," Petz advised in hushed tones, "do you have enough droids with you?" "Yeah yeah yeah," Karaberas replied, annoyed. "I got it all under control. Now go." Petz glared at her sister and just wanted to scream insubordination, but bit her tongue instead. "Alright, you'd better do I good job." "I will. Go." Petz gave a final growl then disappeared, while Cooan and Beurche did the same. "You're not going anywhere!" Jupiter cried, running forward. Jene followed her guardian. Karaberas grinned as she jumped into the air. "Attention all droids!" She shouted. "Target is that senshi and the child! I want you to knock them out, and see what information you can get off them!" Suddenly, two dozen droids suddenly appeared at Karaberas's command. "As you order, my lady!" They said in unison. Jupiter's eyes narrowed, and she got into a fighting position with Jene back to back. ~By the gods, we're in trouble!~ Karaberas grinned. "By the time you finish with that batch of droids, we'll be done and long gone!" She gave a laugh. Jupiter tapped the watch she had on her wrist and spoke loudly. "Attention all available Senshi, they've shown their true colors. Send reinforcements to the military base 024." "Message received, carrying out orders," came a voice. Jupiter grinned, and looked up at Karaberas. "Now, I can take my time mopping the floor with your droids," she said. Karaberas was shaking with anger. "Droids!" She shouted, "new objective. Don't bother with the info. I want them dead!" "Understood!!" Cried the droids. Giving various battle cries and hollers, they all descended on the two. Jene swallowed, but looked determined. "How ya doing, Jene?" Jupiter asked. "You can leave. I can take care of this." "I'm scared out of my mind," Jene confessed, "but you can bet your tiara I'm gonna stay! I can prove to you I'm a good fighter!" Jupiter grinned, just as the first droids approached them. "Get ready!!" ***************************************************************** Karaberas gave a yawn as she watched the fight unfold. ~The droids will take care of them,~ she thought to herself. ~I'd better go see how my sisters are doing.~ With that, she faded out. In the main time, the fight wasn't going too well for Jupiter and Jene. Jene, though good, found that her hand to hand attacks on the droids were useless, and they could only be harmed by other means. She couldn't wield a force of nature, like Jupiter could, so Jene had to use ki blasts. As good as Jene was, large ki blasts were very draining on her, so had to make many small ki blasts instead, one per droid, and that was fast wearing her out. Jupiter couldn't get the time she needed to get out one of her larger attacks, and right now, could only throw small lightning bolts at individual droids. "Jene, cover me!!" Jupiter shouted, jumping into the air. "Right!!" With a shout, Jene raised her hands into the air, and concentrated. "HHHAA!!" She shouted, just as her ki erupted into a ball of destructive energy, which flared from her aura, slapping the droids back. The attack seemed impressive, but didn't permanently keep the droids down. When the light faded, Jene collapsed, and the droids started to get up again. Just then, Jupiter gave a shout. "Jupiter Oak Evolution!!!" Little lightning bolts of destruction rained down, and struck the droids devastatingly. After that, most droids were either dead or dying. There were many piles of sand lying around. "Jene, are you okay?!" Jupiter cried, picking up her worn out ward. Jene gave a weak smile and got to her feet. "...yes..." Jupiter grinned proudly and hugged the young girl. "I'm so proud of you! You did great! Come on, I'll get you home." Jene shook her head. "No. You have to get to the base, and I'll be fine. Let me come with you." "No Jene," Jupiter said, "you're tired!" "Aw Come ON Jupiter! You said you'd take me to the base!! Come ON! You promised!!!" Jene cried, looking at Jupiter. "You're not ditching me, just as the fun started! No WAY!" Jupiter bit her lip and sighed. "Fine... come on then, you'll have to hurry though." With that, Jupiter ran in front. Jene nodded, and ran weakly after her guardian in the direction of the base. The droid that had been the closest to Jene when she did her large aura ki blast, had been slapped away the furthest, and had landed out of the range of the little lightning bolts that rained down after that. Thus, it was not dead. ~I got beaten... by a child!!~ The droids thought to itself angrily as she watched Jupiter and Jene race away. It's blue eyes turned black to match it's emotions. ~No!! No!! I am the last vampire-class droid in the entire droid army! We will not die out like this! Revenge!!~ Slowly, it stumbled to its feet, and glared at Jene as she ran weakly behind Jupiter. ~The child... is tired, exhausted.~ The droid thought, ~I must be wary of the adult, but.. the child will pay.~ The droid jumped into the air, quietly, and landed behind Jene, grabbing her shoulder. Jene started to shout, but the droid covered her mouth. Jupiter turned around, just to see the droid jump away with her ward, and disappear. "NO!!!" Jupiter cried, jumping towards the droid, ready to punch it's lights out. Unfortunately, the droid disappeared just as Jupiter's fist would have connected. Jupiter landed and looked around, but the droid could not be seen. Her heart pounded. ~No, NO!! This isn't happening!! This isn't happening!!~ She thought to herself, over and over again. "NOOO!!!!" ***************************************************************** The vampire-droid appeared a mile away from where it had disappeared, a struggling Jene in it's arm. "Stay STILL!!" It cried, clubbing Jene over the head. Jene gave a cry and fell over, tears of pain in her eyes as she grabbed her head. Slowly, she released her head, and stared at her hand, which was suddenly wet. It was blood. Jene looked up at the droid, who looked at her hungrily. Its eyes had changed from a black to a green color, full of hunger and desire. The droid laughed, "you just aren't very lucky today, kid. First, the only droid that survived was me, the last vampire-class droid in the entire droid army. "I only need blood to heal an injuries I have, but I normally do not get injuries. However, you hurt me. Therefore, I need blood to heal my wounds." Long fangs appeared, as the droid grinned. "Then, you start bleeding. Definitely not good for you." "Get away from me!!" Jene cried, as the droid grabbed her arms and moved towards her neck. "STOP!!" Someone cried. The droid and Jene both turned to see who had said that. The droid's eyes went wide. "Master Wiseman!!" Wiseman looked out at the droid. "You will not drain this girl of her blood," he said in a forbidding tone of voice. "But-" "Your wounds, I know," Wiseman said. "This is what you will do. Drain perhaps 50% of her blood, then put some of your own back in her." The droid frowned. "but Master, if I did that, then she will become a vampire-droid, like me." Wiseman gave the impression that he was grinning. "You ARE the last vampire-class droid in the army. It's about time you found (or in this case, made) some more of yourself." The droid listened to what Wiseman said then nodded. "Very well, that makes sense." "No!! I WON'T be a droid!!" Jene cried, thrashing, "no, STOP!! Get away from me!! Help! HELP!!" The droid ignored Jene and bit her in the neck, opening a vein with it's teeth. Jene gave a scream of pain and struggled, but couldn't detach the droid. Gradually, she grew weak, tired and cold, and her protest reflected that. "No... stop..." She said softly, "no... I... help..." Wiseman watched. ~She will make a valuable droid,~ he thought to himself. ~When I sensed her energy this afternoon, it was overwhelming. It's very powerful, but it's hidden. When she becomes a droid... I can probe her and experiment, and figure out the cause of her hidden energy.~ At that moment, the droid opened the vein in its own wrist and then placed it up against Jene's mouth. The blood slowly dripped down her throat. Wiseman watched. ~Excellent. A few more minutes of this, and she will be a vampire. Then, it will be easy to make a droid out of her.~ Wiseman looked at the black crystal he had in a hand. If it were another color, then one could see the black cresent moon embedded in the middle of it. "It's done sir," the vampire droid said. It got up, looking much healthier than before. Its eyes were also a normal blue color as well. Jene sat, back against the wall, a dazed expression on her face. "Excellent." Wiseman floated forward, and started chanting. The crystal he held started to glow, as did Jene. He pointed the crystal at her and then let go of it. The crystal floated in front of Jene, before it touched her, and then... seemed to enter her. "STOP THIS!!" Someone cried. The droid and Wiseman looked up and suddenly saw another person, glaring at them. She had long black hair, tied back from her face. Her eyes were a steely black. She was wearing a sailor fuku, but the designs of it told Wiseman and the droid that this new person was not a Sailor Senshi. Rather, she was one of the Constellational senshi who came from the academy on the moon. She held a sword in one hand, with a black handle and hilt. There was a calm blue crystal on the hilt, which gradually turned into a murderous red. "Who are you?" The droid demanded. Its eyes turned a black color, identical the senshi's. Wiseman looked at the senshi, and suddenly, was very surprised and confused. "You are-" "Yeah, that's right," she growled. "And I'm upset with you." With a cry, she ran forward with impossible speed, jabbing with her sword. Wiseman disappeared, before he could be killed. The senshi turned her attention onto the droid. With a single slice, she decapitated the droid, and soon, a pile of sand was the only evidence that the droid ever existed. Then, she turned to Jene who was still dazed. The crystal was halfway in her. With a cry, the senshi chopped down with her sword, cutting the crystal directly in half. The glowing stopped and half of the crystal fell to the floor. The senshi cursed as she picked up the crystal. She pocketed it and then turned to Jene. "Hey, wake up," she said. Her eyes were no longer black, but a brilliant blue. Jene moaned. "I..." She looked up at the senshi weakly, and her eyes went wide. "You... you...!" "Yeah," the senshi replied. "I know." Jene stared at the senshi so more, before her world exploded with pain. She started screaming, and grabbed at her head. The senshi looked at Jene sympathetically, but didn't do anything. A crescent moon suddenly appeared on Jene's forehead. Still screaming, the crescent moon suddenly erased itself, and was replaced by an eight pointed star. A beam of light began to shine painfully from the star and shot up towards the sky, so that it could be seen for miles. The light disappeared after a bit, but the star was still there. Jene breathed hard, her body weak from the pain. The senshi smiled at Jene. Suddenly, the star started to shift and change until it was a black crescent moon. Jene's pupils turned black. The senshi quickly lost her smile and looked at Jene, feeling slightly confused and scared. Jene screamed, and squeezed her eyes shut, grabbing at her head. The mark on her head changed from the black crescent moon to the eight pointed star again, then moon, then star. It switched back several more times, each time, the mark staying longer than the last. Finally, the eight pointed star stayed, and Jene passed out from the pain, the star still shining on her forehead. The senshi stared at Jene's prone form for a moment, before she gave a sigh. "Rats," she said, shaking her head. She picked Jene up. "Point for you, Pluto," the senshi said aloud. "I couldn't change what happened." No one answered her though. *****************************************************************
