***************************************************************** A NOTE FROM JENE SHOCK You've gone blind! Everything around you is darkness, and you can't do anything about it. You start to panic, and want to scream, but you discover you can't open your mouth. You want to touch your face, and find some trace of your lips, but you can't because you haven't any hands. You think to yourself, 'that's it! I'm loosing it! Loosing it! AHAHAHAHAHA!!' Just as you were getting accustomed to the darkness, and the fact that you can't find your body, something happens, and the space right in front of you starts to move, and shimmer and what not. You try to get away from it, only to stop and remind your self that you can't. You don't have any legs. The space in front of you get fuzzy, and you think you can see something start to form. An outline of something comes into view, and then, the body of something forms, like a fade in of sorts. You are surprised to see that the shape turns into the form of a young woman, wearing a normal T-shirt and jeans. She has long black hair tied back to keep it from flying into her face. Her sharp blue eyes look angry. The woman looks around, as though she can't see you, and you are relieved, because she looks rather mad. Suddenly, just as you are thinking this, she looks right at you, were your eyes should have been, and her own eyes narrow. She steps forward, right through you, then back through you again. The scowl on her face has turned into a sinister looking smile. "Found you," she said. You are surprised. "You're not the only one surprised," she said, "I don't know who you are. Just what are you doing here?" You wonder where 'here' is. "Wait a minute, you don't know where 'here' is?" She asked, her voice echoing her surprise. You begin to realize that she knows your thoughts, and you start to panic at this. "Stop panicking, I don't bite... usually." She said, annoyance all over her face. "So, you really don't know where you are?" You nodded. "Huh," she says, rubbing her chin, "that's strange. Most people actually have to KNOW what they're doing to get here. But since you don't know, I'll tell you. You're inside my head at the moment." She seems to know you are surprised, and tries to elaborate her earlier statement. "I meant you were somewhere in my mind," she says. "It's like, a type of one-way-mind link. Sorta like telepathy. Only, you can get to my thoughts, but I can't get to yours." You think about what she's trying to say for a moment, before you ask how she can hear your thoughts if she wasn't able to do that. "You are walking inside my head at the moment, like there is a physical ground, but you haven't given yourself a body to contain your thoughts. If you give yourself a body, then I wouldn't be able to hear your thoughts, and we'd have to talk." You ask her how to get a body. "Just concentrate, and think of being in your own body." You do as she says and then you blink. Then, you wonder why you can blink if you don't have eyes. It takes a moment for you to realize, that you are back in your own body. "Hey, I'm here!" You say. "Very nice," she says, "now could you please tell me how you got inside my head?" "Uh... well, I was at Android18's homepage... then I clicked on a big green star, and then Android18 started talking about 4 different arks of your life or something, and I had absolutely no clue as so what she was talking about so I clicked on a link and, well, here I am." The girl thought about what you were saying for a moment before she nodded, "huh, sounds just like her to dump all the people she confused into my lap," she muttered to herself. Then, the girl looked up at you, "I guess I should introduce myself, even though you'll know more about me should you choose to read the TWOR stories. My name is Jene Shock." You raise an eyebrow and look at her, "You're Jene Shock?! You don't look very interesting." Jene growls at you savagely and her pupils turn a cool, steely black. You blink. "Hey, how'd you do that?" "Never mind that," Jene says impatiently. "You'll find out later. Anyway, about the 4 arks." "Uh-huh?" "I am an immortal. It says 1200 years on the homepage, but in true, I am somewhere near 5000 years old. Trust me, that's a very long time. "So, I separated my life into 4 different categories. Pre-wanderings are stories about important events during my childhoods, or before I became an immortal. All of that happens either during the Silver Millennium or during Crystal Tokyo." You interrupt her, "aren't those two times in the Sailor Moon Timeline?" "Yes, and-" "And this was before you became an immortal?" "Yes, and-" "Did you say, childhood'S'?" "Yes, and-" "But how can you have seen the Silver Millennium, and Crystal Tokyo, without being immortal?" "You'll find out!! Now stop interrupting!!" "Yeesh, sorry." Jene regains her composure and continues, "Wanderings is a term I use to describe the time when I became an immortal, going through one world to another." "What are you talking about?" Jene sighs, "have you ever seen the show Sliders? It's about people going from one dimension to another. Wanderings is sort of like that, okay?" "Okay..." "Post-wanderings is about what happened to me AFTER I was through wandering through different realities and finally got to the place I was trying to get to. "Post-death are stories about my descendants AFTER I die. Okay? Do you understand?" You look at Jene and start to nod, but stop, and instead, shake your head. "No. I'm sorry. I don't understand." Jene sighs, "then I'm afraid you never WILL understand unless you read the stories. So, I suggest you do that." You nodded. "I'll... consider doing that." "Then, I'm just going to leave you. I have to get back into the REAL world. Oh, and, don't talk too loud or you'll cause echoes in my mind and put voices into my head. I really hate it when that happens." Jene looks at you one last time before she closes her eyes, and fades into nothingness. You are by yourself once again, and now you have a decision to make. Are you going to read the stories, and hopefully, enjoy yourself for a few hours, or will you be going on to different pages? Take your time. As long as you don't talk too loudly, Jene won't mind having a visitor in her head. *****************************************************************
