MAIN CHARACTERS:

Ranma Saotome: Ranma's the main character to this whole Ranma 1/2 series, obviously. Now Ranma has many many problems, and its not only cause of his "curse". Ranma is being forced to marry Akane, the daughter of his father's friend, Soun. Sometimes I think that Ranma is gay, because he seems to hate girls, he always says that akane is "soooooo uncute" and he has this problem of dressing in girls clothes. Granted, he is a girl half the time, but if he was a guy to begin with, I don't think he'd be prancing around in skirts and dresses.

Genma Saotome:Father to Ranma half the time, and a Panda bear the other half. Actually, he seems to like spending more time as a panda than he does as a human... probably cause he's bald and panda bears have hair. Genma is suppossed to be Ranma's Kempo teacher, but sometimes you get to think that Genma doesn't know what in the hell he's doing. I don't care that much for Genma as a character... maybe it's because he's a friggin' idiot.

Akane Tendo: Akane thinks she's good at martial arts, but the fact of the matter is, as newer characters are introduced into the Ranma universe, she just plain begins to suck. Sure, she has nice skills for the first couple of episodes, but she's nothing compaired to Shampoo, Ukyo, or even Kodachi (the synopsis of these characters are coming up, so keep your pants on....please.) Akane is a little hothead, she gets mad very easily, and seems to get jealous of Ranma a lot, even though she says she doesn't like him. But everyone knows that she loves him and you will get very pissed off that neither her nor Ranma admit that they love each other. It drags on and on...

Nabiki Tendo: Nabiki is Akane's sister, the same last name that they both share is a bit of a clue. Nabiki is what you would call a money grubbing swine. She's got a snobby attitude about everything, but that doesn't make her a bad person. Deep down, we can see that Nabiki is a very kind and caring person... she cares about herself.

Kasumi Tendo: Kasumi is the oldest of the three Tendo sisters, 19 years of age. She also happens to be the dumbest and most airheaded character in the Ranma 1/2 series. If for some reason they needed a substitute for Kasumi in one episode, they could easily get a rock or a piece of wood to fill in for her.

Soun Tendo: Soun is the father of the three sisters listed above. He has this bit of a problem though... he's a cry-baby. Every episode he cries for one reason or another. Sometimes while watching him cry, I wish I cold jump into the TV screen and hit him in the face with a bat. Soun and Ranma's father, Genma trained together when they were younger, and I bet Soun cried a lot then, too.

Shampoo: Shampoo is from China. She was one of the strongest warriors of the Chinese Amizon tribe, and she's cute too. But one day when Ranma (in his girl form) and Genma (in his panda form) passed through the Chinese Amizon village, they stopped for a bite to eat. Little did they know, what they were eating was the first prize for the champion of the match that was currently going on, and the champion happened to be Shampoo. Now she was plenty pissed off to see some stupid red haired girl and a big fat stupid looking panda bear eating her first prize meal. Well Ranma thought that if he beat her in a match that everything would be okay cause then he would be the winner of the prize. Well, Ranma won alright... he won the kiss of death. Once you recieve the kiss of death, the person who gave you the kiss must track you to the ends of the earth and kill you, or else they will be a discrace to the tribe. So Shampoo tried to kill girl Ranma, unaware that the other half of him was a boy. But then Ramna defeated Shampoo in boy form, but that meant something different... that meant that she is to marry the man who defeats her... you can just imagine how that complicates things.

Ukyo Kuonji: Ukyo is Ranma's little girlfriend from childhood, unfortunately, Ranma always though that Ukyo, or "Ucchan" as he liked to call his best friend, was a boy. Now Ranma must have been a very disturbed child not to be able to tell a boy from a girl. Ranma seems to have a lot of problems in sex differentiation, now that I think about it.

Ryoga Hibiki: Ryoga is Ranma's enemy... sometimes. I don't understand the relationship between them, they usually fight, and seem to fight a lot, but sometimes it seems as if the two really care about each other. In my opinion, they are both a bunch of nutcases. When Ryoga gets splashed with cold water, he turns into a little black pig. Akane found the pig and thought it was a real pig so she nicknamed it "P- Chan". To this day, Akane has yet to figure out that Ryoga and P- Chan are one in the same. That's because she's stupid. Another interesting twist is that Ryoga has fallen in love with Akane, but he's too shy to tell her, he feels she could never love someone who turns into a pig. Yes, this whole series is very, VERY complicated.

Mousse: Mousse is from China, yet for some reason he speaks perfectly, as opposed to Shampoo who is also from China. Mousse is in love with Shampoo, and has been in love with her all his life, which complicates things further since Shampoo is in love with Ranma. Mousse is a master of magic, but to me, his magic seems kind of crappy. He hides stuff up his sleeves, pulls it out, and calls it magic. Even I can do that. Mousse should also keep his glasses on more often cause he can't see if he's proposing to a statue, or to Shampoo without them.

Happosai: Happosai is the "master" to Soun and Genma, he trained them while they were younger. Happosai happens to be a perverted old lecher, always stealing woman's underwear and keeping them as part of his collection. Hmmm... I wonder if he wears them in private. Soun and Genma are terrified of Happosai, mainly because he is extremely good at martial arts. His only weakness is his own pervertedness. Ranma doesn't fear the "master" at all, unlike his father and Genma.

Cologn: Cologn is Shampoo's great- grandmother. She moved to Japan from China to try to get Ranma to marry Shampoo. Cologn is also a very skilled martial artist, using techniques passed down from her amozon tribe for thousands of years. Ranma refers to her as the "old ghoul" because, frankly, that's what she looks like. If her face had any more wrinkles in it, we'd have to steam iron her face. She looks a lot like Happosai, and together they look like two little monkeys.

Tatewaki Kuno Kuno often refers to himself as "The Blue Thunder Of Furinkan High", but I don't see much thunder in him, all I see is a loser. He's in love with both Akane and girl Ranma who he refers to as "the pigtailed girl". Kuno is very very dumb, he doesn't even know that girl Ranma and Boy Ranma are the same person. He hates boy Ranma, but is in love with girl Ranma, and he's also in love with Akane. But they both hate him anyway so it really doesn't matter. Kuno has average martial arts skills, but he can never seem to defeat Ranma. Kuno likes to talk in poetry, and it usually gets on my nerves. I wish someone would shove a sock in his mouth.

Kodachi Kuno Sister to Tatewaki Kuno, and she also happens to be another girl in love with Ranma. She's just as dumb as her older brother, she loves boy Ranma, and hates girl Ranma. She doesn't know that they are the same person. Kodachi is a master of martial art gymnastics, and she's also the master of cheating. She's often referred to as "The Black Rose" and she's got this laugh that will make your blood freeze. Its so annoying, it sounds like Naga's laugh from the Slayers series.
