Slayers Characters



Lina Inverse: Lina's the main character of both the Slayers special storyline and the Slayers T.V. storyline. She's about 15 or 16 years old, and a little hothead. Out of all the characters in Slayers, Lina has to be my favorite. Some people I know like Naga the best cause her chest is bigger than her head, but I like Lina, mainly cause she's funny and is more powerful than Naga. Even though Lina's always trying to make a quick buck, deep down inside her is this kind caring person who's only thought doesn't revolve around money... it revolves around food as well. Lina likes to eat a lot. She's a disgusting slob and just looking at her eat makes me want to vomit in her food. But other than that, I have no gripes about her.

Gourry Gabriev: Gourry is Lina's traveling companion, and a real hard head. Sometime's he's so stupid, he makes the people who come to my homepage actually look smart. Gourry's got long blond hair and a kind of "surfer" look to him. But even though he's a moron, Gourry's got a kind side to him... he's pretty caring I guess, and not as cruel or moneyhungry as Lina. I guess what Gourry lacks is common sense... and a brain.

Zelgadis: Zel is a really cool guy once you get to know him. He may look like a tadpole on steroids, but don't misjudge him, he's a really cool guy. He used to look more human, but Rezo the Red Priest used his magic to turn him into whatever the heck he is now. I think that Zel spends more time with Lina and Gourry in Slayers Next (second season yet to be released in the U.S.) but I haven't seen any episodes of Slayers Next so I really don't know. In the first four volumes of the U.S. released Slayers episodes you meet Zel for the first time and find out all about him.

Amelia Seyruun (Ameria in Japan): If you have a shotgun and don't know what to do with it, I recommend blowing off the top part of Amelia's head. She is sooooooo annoying, you may blow the top part of your own head off after seeing her. Amelia is introduced in volume 4 of the U.S. released Slayers tapes when Lina and Gourry run into her father, Prince Philionel of Seyruun. Amelia's a sorceress in training, and she would love for Lina to teach her the Dragon Slave. For those of you who don't like Amelia, don't worry, she's gonna be traveling with Lina and Gourry for the rest of the first, second, and third seasons of Slayers.

Rezo the Red Priest: Rezo is Zelgadis's grandfather in a sense.. he transformed Zel into the freak he is nowadays using his magic. Rezo's blind so he's always got his eyes shut (which is a good thing cause if he saw the way his hair looked he'd wanna shut them again). Rezo's kind of evil, and then again he's kind of not. If you've seen all four volumes of Slayers then you know what I'm talking about, if you haven't seen them, well I guess that's something you're gonna have to put on your list of things to do this week.

Naga: Naga's not in the U.S. released episodes of Slayers, she's from the Slayers Special storyline which takes place before the T.V. series (If you were paying attention, you would have read this on the main Slayers Page). Naga's sometimes refered to as "the goldfish's feces". I think that has something to do with the fact that she's following Lina around all the time like the fecies of a goldfish that hang out of its butthole follows it around. Naga's quite skilled in magic, but not as skilled as Lina... for instance, Naga can't do the most powerful spell in black magic, the Dragon Slave. I've only seen the first two Slayers movies and the first three Slayers Specials, those are the ones with Naga in it, so if you can find them, congrats.

Prince Philionel of Seyruun: Prince Phil is Amelia's father, and and ugly father at that. He looks like a cross between Super Mario and a bucket of pure lard. Lina mistook him for a bandit when she first met him, but later found out that he was really a prince. Lets just say she was dissapointed. Anyway, Prince Phil seems to have this problem with violence and calls himself a pacifist even though he bashes monsters and bad guys with his "PACIFIST CRUSH" and his "BE KIND TO ALL CREATURES KICK" martial art moves. Prince Phil is a fool.
