Anime Info


Unlike most video game-to-anime Virtua Fighter was made into an actual TV series rather than an OAV or movie. I'm still trying to find a place I can SEE it for myself but to no avail. Ah well... In the meantime, here's what I've gathered on it so far... And if any of you see some wrong info, don't hesitate to correct me!

Some people complain that Virtua Fighter has been 'kiddified' but I have yet to see it so I can't really base my opinions on much but the info I've heard so far which I'll try to relay as accurately as possible.

Sigh... Can't teenage girls have normal lives anymore?
The characters in the series are apparently much younger than they should be. The show's hero Akira Yuuki, is a cute guy about age 16 or 17. He's a very good martial artist and has an unsatisfiable appetite! In fact he reminds me a lot of Son Goku! (My all-time FAVOURITE Dragon Ball character! ^_^)

Heh heh... Anyway the second character that shows up is our very own Pai! Although she's MUCH younger here. Age 14-16 I think. I'm also not too sure about her character here... Well except that she and Akira are almost ALWAYS argueing! (A la Ranma and Akane ^_-) Pai also still bears her old grudge against her father. Only here, he's sending member of his syndicate (I didn't know he had one!) out to catch Pai and bring her back to marry her not-by-choice fiance! Poor girl... I hope she and Lau will finally make amends in the end or something. And can't he just let her pick who she wants to marry! (Or at least date!)

In fact, part of the storyline is based on Pai's quest for true love. (That and Akira's search for the magical stars or whatever) It's just that with all the kidnapping and stuff going on it's darn hard to concentrate on her personal life... Ah well don't worry sweetie... Your prince will come one day... ^_^


And here he is right now! In all his... Uh... splendor... ^_^;; Er... Well anyway, I believe that what Pai and Akira are experiencing is the Ranma 1/2 syndrome. I mean c'mon! They're bickering all the time... It MUST be love! ^_^ Heh heh... Anyway I actually heard somewhere that they DO fall in love so there's a chance our Pai will find happiness after all! But then again I may be wrong too since SARAH BRYANT has a huge heart-in-eyes crush on Akira (grrr...) Although I think Pai and Akira should be put together I personally like Lion Rafale. (Il est tres beau, non? ^_-) I mean, Akira is cute but Lion... *grin* Okay I know I'm sick.....

Well, that's all the information concerning the anime I could muster up so far. If anyone out there has anything to add or correct me on, then don't forget to e-mail me! (I'm still searching for somewhere I can get it)

Kawaii!! Pai Chan is super-cute! She's a fun romantic girl! ^_^ Well I finally have the anime pics up! ^_^ The pics weren't made or scanned by me but I did take the screen shots of all the above pics. Do you think I should make more? I think the quality of them improved over the original ones I made... Do you think I should make more? I can get shots of characters in the first season's opening theme (which features just about all of them at least once) and the ending theme, which is just Pai Chan. I can also take pics from the second season's ending theme which features mainly Sarah Bryant (although there are some scenes with her and Jacky, and at least one each of her together with Pai and Akira) I also have a couple more cel scans, however these ones don't feauture Pai in them. They're basically miscellanious ones with Akira, Sarah and Jacky together or alone. Should I still put them up? I know this is a Pai shrine, but there aren't really any other Virtua Fighter anime sites out there.

Well, I'll give you all time to decide and then send me your suggestions. (BTW, my e-mail is working now)
