WebReference.com - A bunch of everything for the beginner and expert alike. I especially like this page because it has the gif cruncher to srink the file size of your images. 

Gif Wizard - If your page takes too long to download, definitly use this becuase it could divide your time in half or more (only works for gif files).

JPEG Wizard - The jpg version of gif wizard. Use these becuase they'll help your page download quicker.
