The owners of After Dark, Robin Gibb, Rings around the moon, Children of the world, BrothersGibb and Now Voyager Mailing List's want to take this time to thank all the fans who attended the BG2K Fan get together in Sunrise Fl on Dec 30th Here is a short account of the happenings that took place Fans started to arrive at East Side Marios about 11:30 Am for the $12 a person gathering where upon they were given their name tag, T shirt and a free raffle ticket. Once everyone was seated, the hostesses went to each table and introduced themselves and thanked the attendees for coming and wished them a good time. Then the line were formed to get our lunch to where a italian buffet was served including stuffed shells and shrimp and clams in a white sauce, and pizza among other dishes such as a salad and fruit bar were offered Then it was time to give away the door prizes. We raffled A LOT of Bee Gees memorabilia off including a lot of things signed by all three Bee Gees (picture of some winners attached) We invited some of the attendee's to help draw the winning tickets. After mingling with each other for a few hours it was time to call it a day. As new found friends exchanged email addresses and phone numbers, it was clear to see what being a Gibb fan was all about. Yes it is about enjoying the music of the Brothers Gibb, but it has become a great way to make new and long lasting friendships We want to take this time to thank you all for attending and invite you to post your own accounts of that afternoon We want to send out a special thanks to Beverly Burke and Ann Grootjans for attending and representing Bee Gees Quarterly and Two of our hostesses Stacy Caron and Heather Branson who represented Children of the world fan club Thanks to all who donated the raffle prizes Thanks to Pat Gulino for helping with having them signed Thanks to Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb for taking the time to sign the raffle prizes for the fans We also want to take this time to thank, Beverly Burk and Ann Grootjans of BGQ for helping to make it possible for the fan club members to attend Thursday's concert rehearsal. We all appreciate the work you do for us.
