Across the web there are quite a few bits of fiction that have mst3ky elements (cameo appearances, for example) but really aren't what you'd call Mst3k fiction. Still, some of these may be of interest, so I've gathered together this page of links so you can go and have a look at them. Read on…

The Joel Train

For all you obsessive types out there…
This e-zine is, and I quote "…a place for Joel Hodgson admirers (particularly those who admire his physical form as well as the rest of his wonderous qualities) to gather and make a joyous noise unto Joel." Err…ok.
The zine is mentioned because it has a fiction section, mostly devoted to praising Joel in every form under the sun. There's even an erotica section, though to my eternal gratitude it isn't particularly explicit. Basically the whole thing is firm proof that there is such thing as going too far. <Shaking head> There's not really much more I can say…

The Subreality Cafe

A popular and unique sub-branch of the net's comic book fan fiction, the subreality café is basically a place where all the comic characters used in fiction on the net spend their time between stories. There are literally dozens of stories about it, and while the writers' skills vary wildly, on average they are well written and the whole thing's a lot of fun. Having misted several atrocious comic fan fictions, the inhabitants of the SOL are welcome in the café and turn up for regular cameos (in the fan-fic awards ceremony for starters). They don't often have starring roles, although a notable exception is Me and Link's "Girls Night Out", archived below:

Subreality Cafe: Girls' Night Out

By Me and Link

A few between-stories characters have a night out at the café. They happen to meet up with the guys from the Satellite and, in a particularly ill advised move, one of them attempts to pick up Mike. I mean sure, "The Satellite of Love" sounds romantic…

Megane 6.7 and more…

Okay, I said from the start that this site wasn't for MiSTings but I feel I should point these out. Many writers who've MiSTed anime stories have (following the example set by Megane 6.7 as far as I can see) written the host segments as prose instead of in script form. Several of these writers also have running storylines throughout all their MiSTings, and they should at least be of interest to anyone looking for Mst3k fiction. I have to especially recommend reading the host segments in the MiSTings of Megane 6.7 (the one who started it all) because they're really neat with lots of original ideas. A warning though, some of the original stories being misted are not for kids. The link above goes to Shinji's Vault of Anime MSTings, which has archived every anime MiSTing ever completed. You should be able to find a few things of interest there anyway.

Warnings though, there is adult stuff here!

The Oracle Replies!

The Internet Oracle has been a staple on the net for quite some time. So what would happen if Dr Forrester asked for it's sage wisdom? Here someone tries to find out just that, and the answer that comes back is really neat!

The Book of Joel

By Phil Eldridge

An outline for what Mst3k would be like in Ancient Times!  Yes folks, it's Mystery Prophetic Theatre 3000, and it's... odd.
