ABOUT THE FILM
The film is set in the not so distant future of mankind. Man has done what he allways feared, he has finally destroyed the planet through the use of nuclear weapons in the next war. Civilisation as we know it is no more, completely destroyed. From the nuclear war, the world has lost all of its appearance, it is now just a barren rock, filled with desserts and left with no vegetation or forests what so ever.Out of the earths wastelands came ruthless gangs of superhumans and dictators, who roam the watelands of the planet plagueing the ragged last survivors of earths past, in an attempt to become the supreme ruler. In this all 2 warriors were chosen to guard the planet they were the 2 fists, fist of the north - KEN, and fist of the south - SHO. But when one day they both meet in a conflict, the future of the planet is set to change. Kens brother Jagi, who is disfigured after a confrontation with KEN, starts to change things by trying to get RAU, to join in, but RAU has other plans.. As he is in his own battle trying to become the supreme ruler of the planet.
Out of the desserts come 2 children with them come the hope of the planet, one of the children carries with her seeds which will be able to make the planet bloom once more. But they are ambushed by a gang of bikers, it is then that KEN, reappears after many months of not being seen, he has come because he has a special responce to the little girl, he then rescues her. As RAU continues his battles he begins to grow in power, and soon it is the that he takes the children and KENS girlfriend. Ken must save both his girlfriend and the children so that the earth may be saved.
They must both fight in a struggle to seal the fate of the planet in an epic battle.

The Fist movie was based on a manga series that appeared in the weekly magazine SHAVEN JUMP between 1983 and 1988. The adventures of Ken Shiro or 'Hokuto No Ken' also spawned a popular television series. Fist Of The North Star was also one of the first manga comics to get a wide westerb sudience in translation through VIZ communications, and also spawned a live film version.
MY FINAL THOUGHT AND SCORE>
This film is completely brilliant, this was one of my first fighting manga films that I saw and I was amazed by when I watched it by its brilliance. This film has got loads that will make you love it, it has some of the best fighting scenes around, and some brilliant scenery. The characters are well thought out and has an excellent storyline, and the detail into the film is superb. If you had to watch a fighting film by manga then this would have to be the number one choice. Its a very popular film with the people who I know who love manga, and no other film has come close so far, to its standards.
