Out on the trail of the Chojn is a man-beast called Amanojaku, who has spent the past 300 years looking for him. At the start Amanu believes that the Chojin is a Student called Ozaki, but also at the same time Amano's sister Megunmi, another man-beast. Is also on the look out, and she believes that she has found the chojin in the form of a shy student named Nakumo, who is in love with the high school beauty Akemi. After coming accross a Makai, Amano tells the Makai that the Chojin is Ozaki, just before he destroys the monster. After hearing of this the Makai go after Ozaki, but soon enough Ozaki turns into a werewolf creature of awesome power, Amano believes that he is it but Ozaki soon dies. Amano then remembers that Ozaki got some blood form Nakumo, which makes him quickly find him. But Nakumo is killed in a car accident, which then makes Megumi and Amano believe that there is no Chojin. But unaware to them that Nakumo is awakening, and transforms into the Overfiend and shows Megumi and Amano his true power as the look in amazement at the fact that they have at last found the Chojin. A while later Amano tells Nakumo who he is and takes him aswell as Akemi, Megumi and amano's friend Karuko to the world of the man-beast to meet the old master.
We soon come accross one of Nakumo's fellow students, Niki, who has a secret crush on Akemi. He hates Nakumo because he has Akemi and he hasn't. It is then that the Suikakajyu of the Makai, decides that he wil turn Niki into a monster who will be able to kill the Overfiend. But after a while Amano is confronted with Suikakajyu, and battle through the streets of Osaka. It is here before Suikakajyu dies he tells Amano that the overfiend isn't who he thinks he is, which makes Amano begin to rethink about the prophecy. Soon after turning against everyone Niki Kidnaps Akemi, Nakumo must battle Niki to get Akemi back, in a battle which will decide who will die and who will live. When everything isn't going the overfiends way, he eventually kills Niki, and when he returns back into Nakumo he realises what he has done, and runs away.
Soon Amano returns to see the old master who with his power, grants amano the power to go and see the future, to see what the new world looks like, but when he gets there it is a totally different picture, with the city in ruins. It is then that Amano sees the Overfiend destroying the planet which then makes him realise that the prophecy was a false one, and he then sees what the chojin really is. Meenwhile Akemi finally catches up to Nakumo and after they finally make love, Nakumo turns into the overfiend and starts to destroy the city, nd the other 2 worlds, which then makes the people from these worlds come to the human world. But when the people from these races see what the overfiend ha done they attack him, but to no evail as they are all killed. At this point amano hears a voice in the background and sees taht it is Suikakajyu calling upon the monster of the sea MAU, who once before caused the great Kanto earhquake. He succeeds in calling him and uses him to attack the overfiend, but the overfiend is close to death when his 3rd eye opens and fires a beam of energy which kills mau and destroys the city in an explosion of upper destruction. In a last ditch effort Amano must take it upon himself to kill the overfiend, he nearly succeeds, when he awakens he finds himself inside the overfiend, and is confronted by Akemi. But it is not just akami, a voice from within her is telling Amano who he is and, we see that he is the Chojin. The chojin then tells amano that the overfiend, his father, must destroy the 3 worlds in order so that the chojin can recreate them as they were once, they must be desroyed because all the people have become greedy and full of hate. The new world will be full of love, peace and harmony will once more exist.
