All this changed the day Usagi spied upon the scrumptious contents of Makoto's lunch box. Makoto saw Usagi and offered to share her lunch. Usagi ignored her classmates' warnings about Makoto, and the two girls became fast friends.

The real reason Makoto transferred schools is because she wanted to forget a guy she had loved. That guy left her and staying in her old school reminded her of him. Makoto says that Motoki Furuhata of the Crown Game Center is a bit like her ex-boyfriend. As the series progresses, she would point out more and more people who would remind her of him, but on a more cheery note.

Mako's parents died in a plane crash, and she lives alone. Solitude does not really bother her because she has gotten used to it. But Mako knows what its like to feel alone. This is probably why she goes the extra mile to be supportive to her friends, thus she is often described as the "big sister" of the inner senshi group.

Mako loves doing household chores like housecleaning and cooking. She is a master in the kitchen. Everyone always gets excited (especially Usagi) whenever Mako would whip up her culinary delights. She is a natural in dancing and ice-skating, her grace and form enchanting all those who would watch. Mako can also be funny. She once said that she should be chosen to play Snow White in a play because she has the biggest assets ^_-.

As Sailorjupiter, Mako's attacks are thunder, lightning, and plant-based. She also trains quite seriously in order to become a more effective sailor soldier. More details about her powers and abilities can be seen in another section of this shrine.
