"You're just having too much fun." ........the hapless KC's words to Mr. Chapel as she watches him call in favors to accomplish his end; making justice happen.

A woman is killed by her employer after she discovers a money-laundering operation, leaving a husband and small daughter to grieve. The guilty employer is acquitted of the crime with the assistance of a crafty lawyer. One night, the grieving husband finds a package of press clippings on his doorstep, covering crimes in which justice was perverted but Later rectified. His case is the last one in the package and in place of a resolution is the number "555-0132". He calls and Mr. Chapel answers. He will deal justice to the acquitted killer, but his price is three million dollars; OR a favor when he asks for it, in pursuit of vengeance for another client. Of course, the husband agrees and Chapel goes out after the killer.

He calls in one of his "Favors" from woman in a police department named KC. She reluctantly agrees to help him raid the police evidence department as payment for his delivery of justice for her father. First, he needs information from the slimy lawyer, so he tortures him wonderfully by chaining the guy in a car (that won't start) with a BIG truck coming up behind him fast. "This is gonna be fun.", he says, "Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear."

KC watches in horror as Chapel only saves the guy in the nick of time. The lawyer spills his guts big time and they go after the murderer. Chapel is working both ends against the middle, calling in favors over the phone, using the computer for "creative financing" of the killer's bank accounts, etc. In the end, of course, the killer gets his just reward, but not before some classic menacing by Mr. Chapel, served up just the way we like; Madsen-style a la Mr. Blonde. He tells KC their deal is over; they're even. She decides she has to become more of a permanent helper so she can, perhaps, keep him from carrying his little acts of revenge too far. And so it begins.............
