Bad military gun dealer, Don Block is in trouble for double-dealing and is ratted out by undercover cop, Jeff Mason. Mason and wife Lauren are under police protection until the testimony against Block is over. Block gets out on bail. Two cops are watching Jeff and Lauren, Swain and Weatherspoon. Weatherspoon is bad, arranges for Lauren to be kidnapped and held hostage so Jeff won't testify. Chapel comes to help, tells KC Block is a claustrophobic and they're going to put him in a box until he tells where Lauren is. Officer Swain, who plants a gun on Block and rearrests him, foils the plan. Now that Block is back in jail, Chapel decides that solitary confinement is as good as a box, so he lets himself in to the bedroom of a sleeping Officer Gultch (last seen in "Eden" - Episode 3). Forces Gulch to help him get Block thrown in solitary because of a handmade weapon Chapel has thrust into Block's hand. Enter the white supremacists. Franklin (played my one of my faves, Brion James) is not getting his gun order from Block and Block has already taken his money. Chapel gets a favor from a former client and gets a load of guns - which don't work. He presents himself as Block's agent and takes the guns to the nazi-wannabees. Guns don't work, now the nazis are really mad. Franklin sends his boys who are presently in jail, to kill Block. Chapel goes to see Block, Gulch letting him in to solitary. Block is freaking out from claustrophobia, anyway, so Chapel shows Block the nazis coming to get him by way of jail monitors. Block gives up and tells where Lauren is. Calls his man guard ing Lauren and tells him to leave her alive and just walk away. The nazi's have arrived; Chapel locks up Block again and goes to get out of the way of the nazis. Gulch won't unlock the door. Chapel has blocked the lock with a nazi pamphlet, gets out in the nick of time, and locks Gulch in with the mad nazis. Walks away muttering, "I shouldn't have to work so hard." Weatherspoon wants Lauren dead and goes to the cabin where they've been holding her. His man is going to kill her, but she fights and knocks him out. Weatherspoon arrives and tries to strangle her. Now, Swain is there. Weatherspoon gets the jump on him and takes him down with a chokehold. Chapel then arrives and whacks Weatherspoon with an oar, putting him out. Lauren says, "Who are you?" Chapel says "Jehovah's Witness. We're everywhere. Chapel has alerted the cops and Jeff and they show up to rescue Lauren. Chapel, of course, is off in the dark, watching the happy reunion, which is obviously bittersweet to him. By now, we know from his initial talk with Jeff over the phone that Chapel had a wife, and faced a similar situation that Jeff is facing, but it ended badly. Another clue to his past. Block's trial coming up, mason testifies and puts Block away for a long, long time. Weatherspoon along with him. Before he's finished, Chapel meets with Franklin and his nazis with a panel truck. Tells Franklin he should have quit in 1945 and opens the truck doors to reveal armed Jewish nazi hunters who take Franklin and his group away at gunpoint to an unspecified destination. Case Closed. Later on, KC admits to liking Officer Swain more than she needs to. KC gonna get a boyfriend? This was a pretty good episode. Lots of fun. Stay Tuned. |
